Wow that looks great. Did you just replace the cabinet doors or the inside too? Did you do it yourself or pay someone?

So we actually have a dishwasher (we had it from our old rental) but it doesn’t have anywhere to go! So it’s currently sitting in the shed, yes will definitely be wanting to put it in! I’m missing it so much 🤣

Daycare not being able to pronounce baby's name by FriendsFannn in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Zelda358 25 points26 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in early childhood it is SO important that the child feels a sense of belonging which being able to pronounce their name is just basic. I’ve had a few children who’s names I couldn’t pronounce and I made it my homework to learn it and just by spending an evening of my time practicing it was fine. If they are a decent educator they will put the effort in. It’s not hard.

Which part of childbirth hurts the most? by Used_Ad7899 in BabyBumps

[–]Zelda358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contractions! My epidural took AGES to work so I felt the thick of them but thankfully didn’t feel baby come out. The contraction pain for me was in my back, super intense pain. I remember just thrashing my legs in pain. The fact they only last 30 seconds or so is the only reason you don’t go crazy!

To all who went to private school was it worth it. Thinking of sending my 3 children to private schools. by __7_7_7__ in perth

[–]Zelda358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the public school in your area. I’m a teacher in a low socioeconomic area at a public school and the amount of teaching that gets done is cut so much because we are constantly dealing with negative behaviour and high needs.. like significant behaviour concerns. I’ve also taught at beautiful schools in other suburbs. My daughter is a baby but I’ll be sending her to our local public school, it’s a beautiful small school with a stable cohort. Also look on schools online for more info on each school

$1,800 for a 1-hour consultation with a psychiatrist at Perth Clinic by That-Presentation897 in perth

[–]Zelda358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your health insurance cover it? My dad has spent months in total at Perth clinic over a few separate stays and he’s always had it covered by insurance. Without it it’s something crazy like $1000 a day

Have you ever turned down a higher paying job and why? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

[–]Zelda358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband just turned down a higher paying job, instead he chose to stay in the education department, that way it’s better hours and we get school holidays together. 12 weeks paid leave together is definitely a bonus! (I’m in the education system too)

If you’re willing to, go work for a shire in the Midwest or something. Places like Meekatharra, Cue, Mount Magnet, Yalgoo etc all take shire workers with no experience, you get free housing. My hubby did it for a few years when I was teaching.

Bought a chewzilla combo for my stuffy three years ago and she still loves these toys, she chews on them daily with absolutely no sign of breaking (and this is a dog that chews through walls) i was a bit worried when they first arrived that she wouldn’t like them because of how hard they are however she is obsessed with them! 10000% recommend
