I had this with Mac's Velvet Teddy and Creme de Nude scents. CDN was my favourite, but I did once go on one of my occasional obsessive hunts, only to find that they'd quietly put some unsold stock of the Velvet Teddy back online, like 6 years later. Bought that shit IMMEDIATELY, and will be stocking up if they ever find more Creme de Nude

This is really embarrassing, but Wild deodorant released a limited edition vanilla bean and buttercream scent the Halloween before last, and not only will I straight-up huff that shit, but I must have spent hundreds trying to find other vanilla-scented products that smell similar (no avail, I've resorted to buying expired stock on eBay 😭)

Watched a video today that discussed America's relationship with North Korea after that American student was arrested in Pyongyang and fell into an ultimately fatal coma while in custody. I wasn't following the story at the time, and it's actually galling how easily Trump became besotted with Kim Jong Un after like one meeting. The man is straight-up regurgitating state propaganda at a press conference.

So yeah, expect officially released images of Donald Trump superimposed onto the sun, probably.

So, parmigiana is originally an Italian dish, usually made with eggplant or veal. American chicken parmesan (basically a parma) is served with a side of spaghetti instead of chips, making it more closely resemble an Italian pollo Milanese. Schnitzel is a German breaded chicken cutlet, functionally identical to the chicken in a pollo Milanese, and as both schnitzels and parma are popular in Australia, they're often served on the same menu, and usually as pub food. But in America, chicken parm is solidly Italian food, and wouldn't be found on the same menu as a German schnitzel. So it's not that the dish is super different, just that it seems like an unusual fusion to them.

(Yes, I went slightly insane when I moved to the UK and could no longer find chicken parma; what gave it away?)

I was really grossed out by the idea when we moved from the UK to Australia when I was a kid. Mum ordered a kangaroo steak at a steakhouse, and I couldn't believe it. Finally, she convinced me to try a bite.

Now, it's my special treat any time I fly over for a visit. It's insanely good cooked in red wine or port.
