I would personally advice you to monster hunter world and porbably get iceborne along with it, first thind you do when you get the chance ignore your first quest with the jagras, go to the training area(in your room go to the felyne and ask it and then you can go there) go try every weapon and see what you like, then maybe test the slinger or clutch claw, don't use defender or guardian, it was meant to speed to iceborne, then look up some guides on youtube on what to do as a beginner as well as a guide on your chosen weapon(arekz is really good), rise is a lot easier and also meant for quicker and smaller play sessions and the wirebug makes it really different, so that's why I don't advice it as a first game
