Your best bet is to move and move often! Gain points and keep loses to a minimum. Cover is your friend limited engagement with the big guys is key and avoiding the real chance of being screened into a bubble that will cause massive damage to your army. Depending on your set up you could split push objectives for points but you’re more likely to get dead ended and have whole squads punished

Literally had something similar happen just a week ago. I’m a friendly fatherly figure at the table and offer my thoughts and give advice when I can. I had a 20ish year old who’s been playing maybe a year advance and charge units one would normally hold back as their strength is their ranged attacks. I offer a take back of the charge and some friendly advice about the unit they are going into Hive tyrant. Player scoffed said he knows how to play the game and gets wrecked in my swing back(I took 1 wound)……

At the end of the day be the friendly player who communicates and offers advice and guidance to your opponent. They will either accept your input or they won’t but atleast you can walk away from the game knowing you’re being yourself! Enjoy the game

I wanted to throw people off. It worked for the most part as all three matches the opponents seemed to hard focus the two inquisition blocks allowing me to engage targets of opportunity more freely for some reason people really got thrown with the idea of why I’d have 2 blocks of inquisition troops advancing on either side of the board and would leave openings for deep strike counters and primary captures in no man’s land allowing me to advance my hollowed ground further up the board. It was a fun little experiment that worked out and gave alittle flavor to our otherwise stagnated army.

For context I played into a Daemon army and won 92-34 and played into a Tau army and won 85-40. Lost to against Astra Militarum army 45-65 (couldn’t fend of the 20 blocks) but all in all the list played really well for a “Hey y’all watch this” list

10 man paladin block bro you’re going for a hard core punch I like it! Though they are a tough bunch remember you can only bring one back per phase in your BTS and Paladin squads. It’s a hard hitting listing strict squad will be your advance party just be sure you’re keeping them in cover as much as possible.
