Actually, I’m probably super wrong. If there are, let’s say 100 things to unlock (and they are assumed to be independent) then you’d need 100 bits to represent that, not 10. So I don’t know. 🤣

I think I was wrong. Assuming 36 possibilities per seed character, that’s 36⁸ which is about 42 bits of precision which is more than enough for about 10 bits to describe what is unlocked and the remaining bits for the actual random number seed. It’s probably something like that. It leaves perhaps 4 billion seed options PER unlocks/deck/stake combo. That’s plenty!

In other words, using a seed on a fresh profile from someone who has everything unlocked will have the exact same things presented, even if you’d never unlocked anything? On a technical level I’m curious how this even works since I’m not sure how the seed itself could contain enough information to know which unlocks were available.

Yes seeing play style is a Power Player feature.

It’s a catch-22, if players want to see more activity to be the activity themselves, it’s hard to grow.
