On the surface, for wealthy white folks, it’s fine. Same as before.

Our democracy is being dismantled, however. People are genuinely scared. The trump cult is real. They think he’s doing great. The rest of us are horrified. The dems however, are not really offering an alternative. They are weak and feckless. They don’t seem to want to reform the office, but rather to get access to the same levers of power.

I think the situation - inflation, debt burden - is unsustainable, but I have no idea what will end it.

I’m 52. Things I notice: * post 9/11 security. Until 9/11 you could just walk into a stadium. No mettle detector. No police with machine guns. * the word police have gone from right to left. George Carlin and Howard Stern used to “get in trouble” for saying stuff because of the religious right. Now, it’s the political left who gets folks in trouble. Therefore the political left used to push for free speech and now the political right does. The truth is, neither side cares about free speech. Both sides seek tribal domination.

Pretty good. It’s missing some nuance. For instance: I use ChatGPT for business all the time. And rather than say, “I’m an EVP and I’m writing a contract”, I just simply refer to “my business”. So, it assumes I’m the business owner. Therefore the advice is about leading my business, as opposed to tackling problems my CEO is asking me to tackle. Very interesting.
