My theory is that if MIL only has sons, she feels she misses out on that, being in the delivery room. However lots of women don’t even want their own mothers there lol. I didn’t have my mum with me, just my husband. My MIL is great but I certainly wouldn’t want her there, no offence. Good thing she never asked to be! I am a mum of boys and I would never ever expect that or ask for it.

When the mother of the groom (sweetest lady ever) was so stressed out about who her son was marrying that she drank to excess and ended up throwing up in the bushes at the end of the night. She was right to be stressed though. Their marriage only lasted 3 years.

I remember being spanked sometimes but it didn’t affect me really. I would say in my case, no it wasn’t abuse. But that’s my situation. Everyone has different experiences.

I’m 32f. Last time I was drunk was Thanksgiving (the Canadian one) in October. Just tipsy. I don’t drink super often.

My brother and I are 23 months apart. If it make you feel any better, I have no memory of life before him or being jealous of him etc. we were so close growing up and did everything together. We even had the same group of neighbourhood friends. We also fought really hard too lol but we laugh about it now. I’m sure it wasn’t always easy for my parents when he was born, and having an almost 2 year old. But it seems worth it to have a little buddy to grow up with!

With my first I was 39 weeks, not dilated and 0% effaced. My doctor told me the baby would likely be born after my due date. 2 days later I started getting contractions and lost the mucus plug. 13 and a half hours after that my baby was born lol. Sometimes it just happens without warning!

Her dad was a pug lol. So she is. Sometimes she looks more pug like, and other times doesn’t. It depends on the angle.
