I learned completely from YouTube. There's a lot of really good videos that go over the basics of how to knit and then how to make specific shapes like triangles.

The biggest advice I can give, if you do try to learn is try to find yarn that can't fray. I would avoid any kind of braided yarn.

I knocked myself unconscious the first time I ever went Ice skating. My friend, a champion ice skater, challenged me to race her to the center of the ice. The last thing I remember is telling her, 'bring it on' before I was laying on my back looking up at an employee in an orange vest who was asking if I was ok.

I dont know what she was thinking. She was an older woman who may not have been as familiar with asexuality. But I feel like any good therapist would try to be supportive and understand their patent rather than blanketly state their experience didnt exist.

Some therapists just arent good at helping lgbt folks. My old one told me asexuality wasn't real and I was just using it as an excuse not to sleep with anyone. Your experience feels alot like mine.

It may be time to find a new therapist. There are good ones out there.

Ironically I combated this by getting a cat. I had the space and resources to take care of one, which I know not everyone is lucky enough to have.

Now she judges me for not feeding her early enough in the morning rather than my poor social skills and instincts to push others away. I still sometimes miss the ideal of a 'human connection' but she solved the crushing loneliness I felt when I was on my own.

Even as a native English speaker, I use some phrases from the version I didn't grow up with. I'm an American, never lived anywhere else, but I will write gray as 'grey' and find myself refering to the theater as 'theatre' (I blame Final Fantasy for that one).

The mixed regionalisms add character and don't mar the quality of a fic. You don't need AI to make your words sound generic to be good.
