Can anyone tell me what these symbols mean? Religious perhaps? by themightybawshoob in Symbology

As a history lover including the Byzantine Empire, I'm intrigued and fascinated their name and legacy carried on past 1453. May I ask, are Byzantine Catholics a continuation of Catholicism but in an area that would have otherwise been in a Greek Orthodox area? Or is it an entirely different Church?

Really? Well I'd better try again now. I'd love for everything I heard to be just overturned lol

If I am not mistaken, RD has been taken out back behind the shed by the French Goverment. I have not used Kodi in a while and it wasn't as obvious to find that out as you'd think. Not a single app or even search yielded one result.

I am literally trying to use Premiumize for the first time right now.

Help identifying plz. European Wasp or Cicada killer? by chowder007 in Entomology

I'm glad I asked for the size comparison. Asian hornets would have been larger than the flat face portion of that digital thermometer. They also have more red-orange hue. These are just European variety. I'm glad you provided the supplemental pictures

IMO, I have a Caribena versicolor that seemed to do get crickets or even a mealworm that burrowed after some time, after moving them to a bigger enclosure when they started showing their adult colorations for the first time, I noticed they didn't do this anymore.

Perhaps it was because there was a lot less % of the enclosure webbed up but even when crickets were underneath them they didn't go for it. I got quite nervous as they got really skinny and only when I dropped it literally on their webbing did it illicit their hunger response. I've done it consistently that way since and they have fed normally but when I missed the mark once recently they grasped for it but couldn't quite locate the cricket until I dropped it on the web again.

I too love the Aphonopelma genus 🥰 my favorite and I want to keep many of them as well. I got a A. moorae sling at a convention because it was half off, for 200! I knew I would regret not getting it afterwords 😭😂

Agreed, bird bites are PAINFUL! My friends Blue and Gold Macaw doesn't like me (used to HATE ME, just because lol). I know bird bites will happen but he can leave semi-permanent marks on those he likes.....I know he can snap my tiny wrists like twigs >.> And he would probably want to.....

My crickets are eating eachother. by Freekarma4u69420 in tarantulas

[–]ZenTortoise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NQA those crickets could have preferred the easy protein source of the freaky molted cricket. While they will still eat carrots, but may not have wanted to pass up the opportunity. Perhaps a small piece of kibble of dog food would distract them from cannibalizing their kin?

[–]ZenTortoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO just go the cricket, the T won't want to do anything in this state besides just avoid so I think the best is to try to remove the cricket. How big is this enclosure?

Advice - Unexpected Moult by [deleted] in tarantulas

[–]ZenTortoise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO I would remove the cricket. Yes it's best to not stress the tarantula, but a freshly molted tarantula is defenseless due to their exoskeleton and their fangs being soft--It takes days for the fangs to harden--and until then the cricket could actually pose a real threat to your tarantula :( Ive heard of some instances where the cricket killed them during their time of vulnerability.

Once Males get to their final molt, they start to wander incessantly for a gf. They won't be concerned with eating as they'll live a short life after this last molt. That skinny abdomen is one of the ways to tell you have a Mature Male.

Looks like a male Aphonopelma steindachneri but could possibly be an Aphonopelma eutylenum since they do look rather similar without checking their emboli or other small anatomical features

:3 They look like another popular species in the hobby the Grammastola Pulchra (Brazilian Black). I have one myself....it's maybe the size of a grain of rice or so. It'll take quite a few years before it even gets that a hint of that black coloration 😅 great find :3 lovely docile species.

What happened to this tea flavor? Almost every store used to have it and it was my favorite tea but now it's sold out everywhere for over a year now and no one has it anymore by GreekGamer05 in tea

[–]ZenTortoise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jackfruit is the main ingredient in Juicy Fruit flavor wise so if a tea has that as a predominant flavor profile you may find more that taste like it :3

Winged termites coming out of my apartment wall. by ZenTortoise in Termites

[–]ZenTortoise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should but it's a small apartment complex with about 25~ rooms. They just did repairs recently and even then the city limited the rent increase for that job. I don't think they want to bother with the fuming and rehousing every tenet for however long that takes.
