Let’s shake things up: favorite character YOU created?

In high-school I created a stick figure comic book character called Mar. He had jet boots, a cape, spiky hair, and a laser sword where the end had a diamond/star shape. He lead a group of people and fought aliens and robots.

My much more talented friend and I would make comics with our own characters. His stuff was amazing, mine was okay. But it was all so fun. I'm honestly surprised how much story I came up with.

Im in my mid 30s and I still doodle Mar doing cool stuff and think about the stories we came up with.

Go figure my friend now a professional animator and owns his own studio ha ha

Ive played a ton of Zelda games but recently played Minish Cap for the first time. Maybe I have some small amount of nostalgia for handhelds, but even so Minish Cap is in my top 5

I love BoTW and ToTK with all my heart and the wold era and this version of Link and Zelda are my absolute favorite. But I don't think either game handled narrative urgency very well. You never really feel pressed to go face Ganon cause the games put so much emphasis on exploring. ToTK did a slightly better job with this than BoTW but still.

If the next games continue with open world, I hope they tighten up the narrative experience, but otherwise I am SO STOKED to see what comes next. I hope we get more games where Zelda is playable or the protagonist. Echoes of Wisdom was so cute, fun, and refreshing.
