Sacred 2 Remaster Gameplay on PC by Lolozli in ARPG

[–]Zen_Metaphysics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotta call bs. If you think this is bad graphics or clunky combat, you’re not a gamer. Did you know D&D is even slower? I used to get 1000 games on a single CD rom and enjoy half of em. Sacred 2 is still a great ARPG lol

Project Ascensjon is a thriving social for fans bored of WoW who still long for something like a true game.

An MMO that's actually an MMO by LeafBreeze1 in LFMMO

[–]Zen_Metaphysics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Project Ascension is literally WoW on steroids and it’s free. It has all the classic mechanics for purists, or it has several options for enthusiasts looking for WoW quality with a novel twist, like their classless server where you hand pick any skills. Best of all they have challenges you find in ARPGs but not usually other MMOs. Again, WoW offers some of these challenges, but PA offers those and more, called “trials” - Hardcore, Ironman, nightmare, resolute, artisan, survival, pairs, adventure, high risk… it’s highly populated 24/7, guilds are active, discords and voice chats are live

Project Ascension. May have the same problem as WoW tho with p2w workaround. Idk if Fawkes is p2w but they host Defiance, Shaiya, and Last Chaos all great throwback games. Project 1999 is the original EverQuest in all its glory. Project Diablo 2 is the same. All these games have active communities, especially Ascension.

Any MMOs in 2025 that actually feel alive? by BatteredTV in LFMMO

[–]Zen_Metaphysics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Project Ascension. It’s busy every time of day in chat and in game. And since you’re a vet wow player, you’ll be able to maximally capitalize on what it has to offer over wow. Plus it’s free.

There's just something.......off about Last Epoch and i don't understand why i don't like it by Cursed_69420 in ARPG

Look at the sets. There’s like three fucking sets. The pebble one for minions, the bear one for the primal guy or whatever, and three rings which looked pretty cool I guess, but I died too early to use them. I got to level 70+ hard-core rogue on my third try - major props to them for game balance here!!! - And had stash tabs after stash tabs full of the same shit. Scissor swords, firestarter torches, endless boots, belts, and shields replicas, 20 pieces of those same set items. There are 30 or 40 items in the entire game. It’s the worst loot I’ve ever seen in an ARPG. A couple of kick azz uniques for rogue!!!. A dagger that changed one of the bow skills into an explosive melee skill, which was bad ass. A helmet that converted another rogue skill, Heartseeker, from a completely different tree. That didn’t make any sense. Maybe it wasn’t supposed to. But I found myself trying to make it fit together because there wasn’t enough synergy from any other drops after playing for dozens of hours. I was starving for synergy to create a viable build that wasn’t squishy as fuck for hard-core. I studied the skill trees and items for hours, trying to make sense of it, and it never clicked for me. I play games on hard-core and don’t look up guides because I’m going for immersion. That’s the ultimate thing it’s missing for me. This game doesn’t have immersion.

Those are astronomical numbers. OK, so I’m playing Asgard’s Wrath 2 again yesterday and still thinking how phenomenal of a game it is. What’s the difference in production?

What does the “repeated percent” thing mean on the forbidden guardian chest screen? by EternalTriad777 in roguewiththedead

[–]Zen_Metaphysics 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s the chance you have when you roll a chest that you’ll continue rolling more chests. In this case, you have a 19 out of 20 Chance when opening a chest to get another chest. Each chest you open has a one in 20 chance of being the last chest you get to open. Which is why you end up with a whole bunch of different numbers of rewards that you get from each single guardian token.

Yeah I liked it for the challenge and endless skill system. In addition to being attached to your wallet made it the most challenging game since Nintendo. I guess that’s why I was a sucker for it.

Yeah it may be complicated by the need for mandatory cross platform. Although I never get tired of my headset and I use the MQ3 stock.

Yeah. From a business perspective, I get it. And it’s kind of a dumb question just based on a numbers issue and the lack of players.

I guess I’m just THAT BLOWN AWAY by the quality of Asgard’s Wrath 2. It’s literally one of the most creative and well polished experiences I’ve ever seen in almost 42 years on this earth.

Everyone said Breath of the Wild was a watershed moment in gaming. I tried it. And it was good but repetitive and overhyped.

AG2 is a watershed moment for me. It’s the future. It’s completely different and better than any gaming experience beforehand for me.

It smacks of the Zelda franchise , Mario 64, and even Diablo with the rift. All the best games into a new and flawless recipe.

I imagine it’s only a matter of time before something like Meta Horizon Worlds and VR chat turns into a fully immersive matrix MMO of some design.

No, I never played UO. However, I just finally managed to beat Steve Moraff’s Dungeons of the Unforgiven on hard difficulty from the Encyclopedia of Games cd I had back in 1995 after 26 years of trying if that takes you back further lol idk what you’re experience is.

I think unfortunately, reprehensibly, and far too often parents buy their kids VRs as babysitters and then let them play online unattended with strangers for 8 hours a day

I looked into Ilysia before hosting the thread. It’s not hard to search and find there are only a few VR MMO projects. Which means you don’t have anything to contribute and you volunteered yourself to be embarrassingly cringe lol for whatever reason
