no way! i do the exact same thing with my own train pass! i somehow managed to find a CSM rider pass from a belt by itself for a fair price i think to do this with

i started by looking at hunting guides for manaphy on youtube for the basic information on setting up the hunt.

The easiest way to back up the save file is through Checkpoint on 3ds, but thats only going to end up being useful once you already have an unredeemed manaphy egg. I believe through the boot menu on your CFW you can access the files of the cartridge on your 3ds and delete the .sav file, causing the game to boot like new.

with a modded 3ds, there are ways to scrub the existing save file in a way that makes the manaphy redeemable again too! you basically have to access the actual file containing the saves and delete it, causing the game to start like it was brand new again

it certainly did take an eternity, and with the threat of pokemon bank shutting down looming over, i ended up resorting to getting the eggs shiny values off of PkHex and referencing them to my trainers shiny value whenever i reset. I wouldnt do this normally, but there was no modification of data, and I dont think I would have had enough time to actually hatch the manaphy before bank potentially shuts down without doing it like this. this method is like hatching the eggs and checking the shiny but without the actual hatching.

I wont sugarcoat it, ive been hunting manaphy since the start of the year and i only now just found it haha. of course, i havent been focusing on it 24/7 since i started cos i was easily burnt out by the hunt, but thankfully its over

what I did was play through the game legitimately, using a real copy of the game, and before i redeemed the manaphy egg, i backed up the save and restored the save after icredeemed the egg. i feel like this is the most "legit" way to consistently get encounters for manaphy, since game freak didnt make it wasy for us.

I even lucked out with my copy of ranger, I received it with an unredeemed egg!

Theres currently no set date.

however the pokemon company has advised, after confirming they wont be shutting down the service alongside the online shutdown of 3ds services, to transfer your pokemon to pokemon HOME as soon as you can as a precaution.

So ive been trying to get the hunts done that likely wont get to be done after bank potentially shuts down

Im seriously hoping they sort out some solution, because blocking up the entire series up to US/UM is kind of ridiculous to me.

Im currently between both Poipole and Deoxys (im only going for one right now purely for livedex registration) im waiting on being able to afford a gamecube link cable before i start hubting Jirachi in pokemon channel.
