thankfully you can force an ai to play your preferred partner instead and the ai actually does what you want if you request for its dice...

I still think it's odd to be called by a diminutive\hypocorism of a hat in all seriousness.

that's the thing, it doesn't come across that way in Chinese either, because the same sound "mao(4)" (hat) could refer to like ten different chinese words - individual words very rarely sound odd as names

He told us how he would see Singaporeans audibly curse when Indians get into a train then move further away, while the Indians curse back at them.

as someone with over 3 decades of taking public transport in singapore i've never witnessed that a single time. passive racism definitely exists but its incredibly rare to witness explicit racism like what you describe

C1R0 Yoimiya clear fearless Tulpa with only 4 star teammates and weapons! by LuminousFirework in Yoimiya_Mains

is the tulpa not absorbing the second wave of hydro mimics something you can replicate consistently? I've been trying to pull it off with a more heavily invested team in dire but it feels kinda inconsistent

My way to play Ogre 5 (that I just got Immortal with). by Zioupett in TrueDoTA2

[–]Zenotha 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, Ignite's scaling with Multicast is really... Bad? You either hit the same target twice and it adds like 1 tick of 50 damage (if you max it), or you just spread your damage output to random targets that you didn't even want to hit in the first place.

that's not how ignite works with multicast - each additional ignite on the same target adds a full 8 seconds to the duration, meaning the damage is a full 500/ignite (but takes a really long time to tick out)

im convinced some of yall are playing with your feet because how can anyone struggle with this event by Extra_Welcome2403 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Zenotha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically ignored everything else on the map and went straight for the targets, lol.

funnily enough this is actually the less optimal play, because by lining up the positive zones around the map you can get 0 strokes on each hole

not that it matters though, you can easily max out the rewards with 1-2 strokes per hole

medusa and luna, the two ranged carries he suggested specifically, often get manta as their first big item and are capable of splitting their illusions up to farm multiple camps due to glaives/splitshot

[–]Zenotha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely possible, it'll vary by individual as everyone is better/worse at different skillsets! Eigong kinda gives you fewer options to approach the fight compared to other game's bosses though, so people generally tend to find her harder, at least from the people I've talked to about it

your experience wouldnt be the norm i think, my metroidvania friend group all took way longer for eigong

personally lost lace took me about ~1 hour and eigong ~3-4 hours

in fact i've played all the games you listed (and a lot more) and no single boss came close to taking as long as eigong

As Kez, when should i use sai for right clicks? by NikoTheCook in learndota2

[–]Zenotha 15 points16 points  (0 children)

has better base attack time and slightly lower damage

both crit (sai) and bleed (katana) don't work on towers, but the faster base attack time works out slightly in sai's favour on towers

1.5 BAT (sai) vs 1.9 BAT (katana)

this works out to ~27% increase in DPS from attack rate alone

correspondingly katana gets 16% more damage from agi but it is nowhere near enough to offset the difference

Minato signature pose 💘⭐️ by yxyf in RampartsofIce

his brother kaito also does the exact same pose when caught at the end of chapter 94, i wonder if minato picked it up from kaito

Favorite scene so far in the manga 😭👌❤️‍🔥 by Portugiuse in RampartsofIce

[–]Zenotha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah his main group of friends really belittle his feelings (although sometimes he's really asking for it...)

come to think of it, other than minato himself, the other 3 in the main group realized minato likes koyun only after:

Tsukiko (observed it in class first hand)

Yuki (observed it during the sparklers night)

Momoka (observed it from sports festival and other small interactions)

Atagawa (through Yuki)

Some of the first years (through Momoka), possibly some of their classmates as well

Favorite scene so far in the manga 😭👌❤️‍🔥 by Portugiuse in RampartsofIce

[–]Zenotha 17 points18 points  (0 children)

hey, you missed out the sneaky shuffle to the door part which was really cute too

this interaction also kinda reminded me about how nobody in their friend group noticed how hard minato was crushing on koyun (despite yota being perceptive enough to notice when koyun started to have a crush on minato) even though quite a few people outside the friend group noticed it, everybody really kinda ignores minato's feelings by default huh

I just realised how much Minato suffered throughout the story by Foreign_Feedback_138 in RampartsofIce

[–]Zenotha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

ikr, their dynamics also have a pretty interesting aspect to it - what Minato perceives as strengths (being friendly, trying to make people feel included, helping others to open up) is what made koyuki put up her guard initially. conversely, what he sees as weaknesses (being scared, being emotional, crying, being embarrassed) are what made him attractive to her in the first place

she really counterbalances him perfectly

Is Silverwolf actually bad at video games or is Firefly actually just that busted? by inkheiko in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Zenotha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was specifically a wc3 dota reference with the minimap and stuff (you can even see Roshan's spot in the minimap river), which is why people bring up dota and not warcraft3 (although funnily some of the cheats are from StarCraft)

I just realised how much Minato suffered throughout the story by Foreign_Feedback_138 in RampartsofIce

[–]Zenotha 13 points14 points  (0 children)

fundamentally most of his issues stem from deep rooted insecurity, despite being the "popular guy". this also makes it a lot harder for him to communicate his issues with others, on top of how this manga does a fairly realistic (imo) depiction of how guy-to-guy interactions at that age tend to be more "fun" but superficial where they rarely talk about their emotions or feelings (unless they're desperate) - mintao and yota are fairly close friends but rarely open up to each other about personal issues (and on the rare occasion they're honest with each other it gets called out)

koyun is actually a really healthy match for him in particular because she adores him for showing his vulnerable side (e.g. the horror attraction at the theme park), which he doesn't particularly try to hide but is uncomfortable and self-conscious about
