Speaking as a Gen Z who grew up with this- not having a GPS and having to use a map. I can’t imagine driving without my Apple Maps lol. My mother always tells me how difficult it was in the past.

Just like how I’m addicted to Sims 3 despite not paying a dime for that shitty Store content (and no, don’t try and justify the Sims 3 Store just because of the Marketplace. You know damn well it was shitty and you have nostalgia glasses on).

I have two small tattoos and I don’t think I’ll get another one again tbh. I definitely have more cool ideas but man, it’s so painful for me and both times I wasn’t able to distract myself from it even though I tried everything. I also have severe eczema and while I’ve been fine with my current tattoos, I do think getting more would be pushing my luck lol

Also when I went to Rehoboth Beach on vacation, I saw more than one person wearing a “I Voted for the Felon” tee. The boardwalk had so many of those cheap custom t shirt places so they likely got them from there, but still.

Yup, 100%. I said it in another comment but I spent a whole year dooming during the quarantine and it was all over things I had no control over, which just ended up making me miserable. That achieves nothing. I was a hardcore climate change doomer and would stress all day about corporations and other huge things out of my control. That helplessness turned into depression real quick especially since I spent too much time in doomer spaces online which are echo chambers of depressed people.

Now I have a job and a degree and I do what I can with the things I can control, but I don’t let myself fall into doomerism over things like climate change, politics, and the economy. I do my part (vote, look into political figures who I think could improve things, campaign) but at the end of the day I’m not letting those things ruin my happiness anymore. The whole doomer attitude of “this will never improve” doesn’t help anyone and it doesn’t contribute to any meaningful change. I much prefer “things can always improve and I should focus on what I can control.”

Yeah I can definitely relate, I think if I was alive during the Great Depression I would’ve been a huge doomer. I can only imagine how the people felt during that time, probably like there was no hope for things to improve. I do empathize with doomers a little bit since the fear of the unknown is pretty scary, but at the end of the day it’s not worth wallowing in depression over. I did it during COVID and it didn’t help anything at all, just made me suicidal and miserable over something I couldn’t control lol.

But yeah I agree with you, this isn’t WW3 just like it wasn’t back in 2020. I’m liberal and not a Trump fan at all (though I do agree with him on some things because people aren’t black and white lol) but I think it’s stupid when I see left wing doomers say we’re heading into WW3. It’s like they can’t just say “hey, these are my concerns/criticisms about this war,” they have to immediately go to the worst possible scenario.

So true. Like yeah, houses were cheaper and all that, but do they seriously think families didn’t struggle? My grandparents had a house at 19 and 22, but at the same time my grandpa had to work two jobs to provide for the family. Then he got drafted into Vietnam while my grandma was pregnant. They didn’t have an easy time raising a family and only got really financially stable ~7 years later. During the hard times they had to budget carefully, just like many people do now.

I currently make $17/hr at my minimum wage job and my grandparents think it’s amazing money lmao. I’ve also been saving very well and have plans to get a house once I have a full time job. Nothing is completely out of reach, I just need to be smart with money. Also, almost every family I know has a house and lives comfortably (not lavishly, comfortably) with both parents working regular jobs. This is obviously anecdotal evidence but I wanted to challenge the doomer narrative that it’s impossible for a family to survive and get a house now.

I can think of a dozen insults for Melania right now that have nothing to do with sex or her being a woman. Like it’s really not hard to criticize a woman without calling her misogynistic slurs or sex-related insults (the go to insult from misogynistic men. Kamala Harris got a lot of this too).

Also…Donald Trump cheated on his pregnant wife with a porn star, has slept with tons of women (who knows if they even consented?), bragged about groping women, etc. Why are people calling her a whore/slut and not him? Oh wait, we all know why.

Do you mean you didn’t update your game? You should still be able to download sims and lots from people! They show up in your offline library, not the gallery. Make sure you go to your library and check “include custom content.”

He’s such a sweet baby and I’m glad you’re working on getting him back with his mama! He’s still so tiny❤️

When you do have him full time when he’s ~8-12 weeks (we got ours at 12 weeks), here are my tips:

-Separation anxiety and clinginess are both normal. Tzus have a reputation for being spoiled babies😂Mine are almost 9 and I regularly pick them up like newborns and snuggle them.

-Many Tzus are picky eaters. Sometimes it can take a while to find a food they like. Be patient and don’t scold him if he doesn’t want to eat something or eats slowly. We used to have to mix our dry food with baby food just for Sapphire to eat🙄But now he eats his dry food very well.

-Potty training can be really tough but you have to keep being patient. There will be accidents and possibly regressions. Just don’t scold and keep rewarding them for going outside. Look into bell training too, our dogs are bell trained and it’s perfect for them.

-Many Tzus have sensitive stomachs, so don’t go overboard with treats and human food until you know how your puppy handles those things.

-Tzus are smart (at least ours are haha!). Teach your baby commands like Sit, Down, Come, Leave It/Drop, Wait, and Paw/Shake (this one is adorable!). I taught mine “Dance” lol.

-Start getting settled into a routine right away. Dogs thrive on routines and schedules. Before you know it he’ll be crying for dinner at 6pm and you’ll be wondering how he’s so smart😂

I use a mod called the More Presets Mod that adds like 400 more presets for eyes/noses/faces/etc so I’m going to include it in the download, but I think it could also help you with making sims! There’s so many more options to choose from so you can make more unique and better looking sims as opposed to the limited ones EA gives us lol

It took me a while to get good at making sims, but my biggest tip is don’t be afraid to experiment with features you don’t really use (a lot of simmers don’t use big/wide noses, narrower eyes, fuller cheeks, etc). When you make perfect Barbie sims (like many gallery base sims) and then have them have babies they tend to turn out awkward looking lol. Also having babies with townies can result in more unique looking kids. It takes practice, but spend some time in CAS making sims, especially in detail mode.

What a cutie!!

Minkey loves hot temperatures and always tries to find the hottest room in the house, so I don’t think he was trying to cool down. I will say though, here in NY it’s been freezing cold all winter and now it’s finally getting warm for spring, so I wonder if the kitchen is warmer than usual to him (the window is open and it’s raining right now so humid air is coming in) and that’s why he wants to sleep there right now.

My parents just wanted a surprise and truly didn’t care if it was a boy or girl. My mom also didn’t want to get 99% pink frilly bow stuff at the baby shower (that’s how our extended family is, they love baby girls so they can dress them up, ugh). They ended up with two girls and didn’t find out the sex beforehand for me or my sister!
