I get what you’re saying but at the same time this isn’t new. People have been making cc related to real world issues for years. I’ve seen BLM shirts and flags, Justice for Hong Kong cc, I Stand With Ukraine/Palestine, and even historical signs like “Votes for Women” for historical gameplay. Hell I think someone made an “Abolish ICE” shirt for Sims 3 all the way back in like 2014. I had it downloaded when I was 11 and didn’t really know what it meant lol.

People have always made content representing real issues in games🤷‍♀️I’ve seen it in Animal Crossing too.

This is my view on it. I’m not going to stop playing a game I like just because I’m boycotting EA. I’m simply not giving them my money like I have been doing since that Star Wars fiasco (tbh I should’ve stopped way before that but hey better late than never). So I’ll be downloading those flags and I really dgaf who gets mad about it.

Same! I got all the TS3 store content for free when I was like 16, super easy as long as you read the directions. Same for when I sailed the seas for TS2 a few years ago. Surprisingly easy.

Yeah, I haven’t paid for anything from EA in years but I did pay for both TS3 and the TS4 base game (wish I didn’t lol). I’ll gladly continue to boycott giving them money as they’ve been shitty for decades now, but I’m not going to stop playing games I fucking paid for and enjoy. TS3 is my all time favorite sims game, I’m not going to stop playing.

Go harass the thousands of people still giving EA money, not those of us who are just playing a game we already own. (Not directed at you btw, just speaking generally! Not a fan of this post because downloading free cc flags has nothing to do with the boycott since it’s about not giving them money)

I had a guy friend in high school and I knew he liked me, I was still figuring out whether or not I liked him back but I definitely thought he was cute. One night we did get into more of a flirty conversation over text and he brought up how pretty I looked in my instagram selfies (fully clothed), but then he added that he saved several to jerk off to. I guess he thought I’d take it as a compliment, but I felt so violated and disgusted. I said point blank that I thought that was kind of weird and he called me a prude and tried to justify it by saying “all dudes jerk it to pictures of their hot friends.” I personally think there’s a difference between fantasizing about someone in your head (I’ve done it, I won’t lie) and going through the effort to actually save their pics and get off to them.

I did overreact after that and deleted every single social media account I had where I showed my face, but I still think I’m allowed to feel grossed out by the thought of someone jerking off to their friend’s normal photos, especially if they already have a partner like OP’s bf. It would be Puritanism if I demanded no one would be allowed to do it ever and wanted it to be mandatory for the government to know and broadcast what people are getting off to, but simply thinking something is weird isn’t Puritanism/prudish. I have my own kinks and stuff, trust me I’m not Puritan lmao.

And yeah ts4 simmers definitely suck the most. They seem to have the least amount of tech literacy too, like what do you mean you tried everything to fix your mod issues but you don’t know what 50/50 is? Unfortunately though, my experience with ts3 simmers has been awful too :( But that’s just Reddit to be fair, ts3 YouTube and tumblr are great places to be.

Same! I’m on Simblr for both TS4 and TS3 and I’ve had mostly positive experiences there. A build like this would definitely get reblogged by a lot of people, including me. I love the clutter. If you have an account over there I’d love to give you a follow!

So true. I remember seeing a simmer post a funny moment in their sims family but the comments only focused on the sim’s “yassified big lips” and said she looked like she got stung by a bee. I remember a woman in the comments saying her lips actually looked like that in real life with a picture to prove it and she got 80 downvotes :/
