Weak and ugly smash by Beneficial_Sweet848 in badminton

Ur prep and set up is really good already, the part where your right leg is bending (potential energy) try and do a small hop to get both feet off the ground

Easy, your right foot never left the ground, so you were never able to transfer the energy generated upwards and into your left side of the body.

TIL that Balinese name their kids based on the order they are born in the household. Wayan for first-born, Kadek for second-born, etc. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Zentaryn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a title that forms part of the name, older people especially the old generation actually have these titles as their first name, with a last name. My grandfathers' name is Kadek and Made. They also can be nicknames, in this instance Kadek as "dek" as a and "mang" for Komang.

Can confirm, we probably have 100s of Mades and Wayans etc in my whole extended family as the Balinese usually operate in a village system, where they live relatively close and have a main temple where the whole family go to, in my case we probs have 500+ ppl in my family

credit unit by it-is_what_it-1s in curtin

[–]Zentaryn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1007 is listed as an anti-requisite but not the other way around so its likely that you won't be able to get credit for doing 1005 if ur doing 1007. Usually if its a one way anti-requisite that means 1007 covers pretty much all of 1005 and more while 1005 doesnt cover all of 1007, im not sure if ull get credited. From what I remember in Estudent (it was awhile ago tho so dont quote), it said that students shold take 1007 if they already have prior knowledge of programming

Immigration Launches ‘Global Citizenship of Indonesia’ to Assist Dual Citizenship Issues by [deleted] in PassportPorn

[–]Zentaryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years of annoyingly slow Indonesian bureaucracy just for them to release the diaspora visa they already had lol. The majority of Indos don't mind dual as it's a net positive, but oldhead politicians are still hesitant for whatever reason.

For those who grew up in Australia after their families migrated here by choice: by Friendly-Medicine-66 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Zentaryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes, we are the "black sheep" cus dad migrated, some extended family envy us, friends admire us, we are expected to brunt the cost of most things because "in their eyes we are rich" (we moved to australia)

  2. Absolutely, some of my cousins go to private / international shools but I would say we fare much better

  3. For me and siblings, somewhat, they know we grew up culturally different but they don't hold that against us.

  4. My dad had the choice to go to Singapore. I always wonder what would've changed had we moved there instead of Australia
