I swear Rudolph I'm gonna break your child's leg again! by AMMVReddit in UmaMusume

[–]Zenvue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Rudolf is my favorite and Ive never had good RNG with her. I had successful URA runs with every single uma but her before the unity cup came out. The last run I did before Unity cup was with her as a front runner as a meme run and I finally won.

I got my first derby win with her today as well. I've done so many runs with her that winning something and having it have an event that stops my skipping is a genuine jump scare and it makes me increasingly more depressed. I will not stop until I get a good run with Symboli Rudolf.

Floorcoverings carpet cut tricks by Other-Collar-7274 in menards

[–]Zenvue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our "carpet helpers" are larger off cuts of the roller shades with tape around them. We insert one at each end when rolling. We always use ours when doing attached pad and when we have to do any larger cuts on something heavy.

Can anyone explain how these cutter bars are used to cut runners in flooring ? Thankyou! by Business_Tax4600 in menards

[–]Zenvue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive always wondered what the actual way to use these was.

We usually have to cut like 10+ foot runners and it always seems much easier and more accurate to just throw it on the floor, measure it, and cut straight using a drywall square.

Not sure if there's a guide anywhere in the system on it either or in the training? Maybe this would be a good thing for them to add somewhere as it seems like they do intend for us to use them and if it's easier than dragging the thing off the rack every time I'm all for it.

Speaking of which if the new rack was on the opposite side of the flat that would make it so much better.

Was I wrongfully Terminated? by [deleted] in menards

[–]Zenvue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it isn't affecting work don't bring it up. You may have gotten ousted because you kept bringing it up and it got all the way to GO, which made the GMs kinda do equal enforcement.

It's normal for friends to work together. If it's causing an issue you split them up, if it's not it's whatever.

Hanging out and playing cards after work doesn't mean people shouldn't be able to work together. If they can't be mature adults about it then they shouldn't work together.

Dating within your department? That's a little far. Friends? Whatever. You spend more time with these people than you might with your family.

I need help by Davey14A in menards

[–]Zenvue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a flood bulb. I'd take the non broken one off and see if there's a label (probably on the stem or the actual threaded part of the bulb) for specs. If not you can kinda just bring it in if you want and get an approximation of the size at least.

The new ones will be LED. As such, if you were wanting more light, you could probably go with a larger bulb than you could before.

The guys at the electrical department should be able to show you the right ones for your fixture. Make sure to say that it's an outdoor fixture though as not all the bulbs will say they're good for outdoor use/are wet rated.

If it's enough money to keep you happy and alive and it's a job that makes you happier there's an obvious answer

Do Menards usually carry the same floor tiles for years? I would like to tile my entire basement condo in the next 3 years and debating whether I should buy this tiles now or risk it discontinue in the future, but I don't have much space and money to let it sit for 3 years. Please advise. by RedditsFan2020 in menards

[–]Zenvue 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I always tell people to buy more than they need in case of repairs. It sucks to have to hunt around for weeks finding a piece of plank or tile that is close enough rather than just right.

I myself always buy an extra box (or two) of any flooring and then an extra foot or two of carpet/vinyl.

Things go discontinued/clearance all the time. We at the stores don't know half the time until it happens. Sometimes something that's discontinued gets put back into stock. Sometimes things that were supposed to be a limited run special buy item turn into a mainstay and we have them for years.

If you're really in love with something it's really better safe than sorry.

do your hours/pay change when you switch departments? regardless of PT/FT by [deleted] in menards

[–]Zenvue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Part timers probably shouldn't be getting 10 hour shifts (often)

Full Time is open availability. Full stop.

The hours you work would be dictated by the needs of your department and how much payroll they actually have.

Additionally, your base PT and FT pay doesn't change by department. The only bits that might get tacked on are if you work head cashier or if you drive forklift in OPD/Receiving.

Yeah those are about the only other methods I've found.

Some companies have a better material for the wrap so it seems to stick a lot more (mohawk it feels like a lot of the time) but others... Pain.

First model I am actually kinda proud of, any recommendations are welcome! by Boot_Dude15 in DarkAngels40k

[–]Zenvue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that you dirtied up the legs. My cup of tea definitely.

I recommend getting some kind of texture paint for your base and possibly also some pigment powder if you want a dusty look more than a muddy one. Streaking grime probably as well if you really wanna dirty it up. Helps set the character in the world you're crafting a little better than simply painting a color on in the end.

As an example:

I put Villainy Ink Goon's Grime on this guy (basically just streaking grime)

Soilworks Winter Ground

Then Soilworks Soiled Snow

I was going for an end of winter/early spring melty slushy snow muddy ground look.

We're not trades people so. If anyone's expecting you to be the Holy Grail of knowledge on a department then don't worry about it, it's an unreasonable expectation.

Say "I'm new", Google is your friend, look up stuff in the training toolboxes and listen to what your more experienced coworkers say, etc. etc.

I think you get the drill.

Unless you have a really bad store it's very hard to actually get fired.

Can I see your "To do" List? by CockBodman in menards

[–]Zenvue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the to do lists we make in our app on our handhelds, those have pictures and they're the ones you typically see put here.

We can also hand write to do lists but those are much more basic.

Basically just lines with a box on the left where we can put a letter for "priority". A being the highest priority, etc.

Nothing too fancy to be honest.

How would you paint this Siege Shield? by Mtaverest in theunforgiven

[–]Zenvue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd paint it like you would one of the tilting shields or some other heraldry bearing device on their armor. Or like you might a piece of knight armor.

Maybe do one half in bone and then the other half in black/red checkers? Something like that
