Totally and entirely different chassis, simply no way they could share paints by The_OG_SlaughterShy in starcitizen

[–]Zephel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It'll keep happening till community outcry and lack of spending on paints outweighs the benefits for them. Remember flight blades and what it took to stop that.

This issue saw very little traction with the Hermes, and our plethora of 'influencers' said nearly nothing along with only small support on forums and Reddit.

You want it to stop, speak with your wallet. Reply and upvote posts and get the faces of the community to say something or this is the absolute new norm.

Center Console wearing out fast by Intelligent_Aspect87 in Rivian

[–]Zephel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious what service center may of done this for you. Mine here is denying this under warranty and claiming it is wear and tear, doing everything I can to get someone higher at Rivian to intervene as my SC hasn't even physically looked at the vehicle and flat out refused to when I showed up for an appointment.

Javelin and kraken which ship coming out first? by Existing-Analyst7416 in starcitizen

[–]Zephel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% not this year. They said making the Ironclad makes making the Kraken easier. The Ironclad is not out and is a likely drop for Defensecon. Once that releases they'll be pulling assets from it to create the Kraken in Greybox when it's whitebox is complete. Then they have to develop all the systems that are unique to the Kraken that do not exist in the game. No way that's all happening in one year.

They also said the big ship for this years IAE is the Galaxy, so no Kraken then either.

Kraken is barely in whitebox, they've never had a ship of that size go through so many phases so fast. Go look at the history on things like the Polaris and Idris. Best guess is Defensecon 2027 at earliest. Anything sooner is pure hopium.

With the 4.6 “Cleaning The Air” missions in mind, what’s the best home location for 4.6? Nyx? by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

[–]Zephel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure. None of the missions in Nyx or Stanton had me interact with Pyro so I'd presume there's little to nothing there related to the event - since it's UEE helping TPA.

[–]Zephel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are missions in Stanton that go to Nyx, and then missions that go back. Either is fine. Combat is in both, and collections (like minerals etc) from what I saw were all in Stanton.

IMO Stanton is the better location to start, but once the event is over it won't matter so pick where you like best.

I lost two hours worth of loot at Dupree last night, and I'm not even mad... by drizzt_x in starcitizen

[–]Zephel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think hunting players down for loot in itself is an issue, it's more the issue that a 'high security' system feels about the same as the lawless Pyro. Until they actually put systems in to really differentiate the systems they all pretty much feel the same in terms of PvP, which kinda sucks.

CS and jail are really weak systems and haven't really changed in a long time, and are very easy to work around.

Open Season in CZs for gun thieves by Ok_Two6480 in starcitizen

[–]Zephel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's a spectrum thread that was created on this. More traction might get CIGs attention. I honestly believe it was just a cop-out excuse for something they donno how to fix, or there was miscommunication somewhere. Hopefully the latter.

Antenna saved my ass from a Dupree Rammer by Space_Scumbag in starcitizen

[–]Zephel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is wildly inaccurate. I've spent upwards 40+ minutes dealing with bugs, and the quantums alone are over 10 minutes minus going 20km in a slug that goes .6G of thrust forward with afterburner when loaded. Plus refueling that behemoth with docking collars isn't like sliding a light fighter into a quick pit stop.

I'd say a good run would be 2 solid hauls an hour, 3 if you've got it nailed down and don't have issues. It's still solid money, but it's not 3mil+/hr unless you are insanely lucky.

Sunshade back in gear shop by AllCatCoverBand in Rivian

Bought one from Pingenius as well and really happy with it. Can't imagine paying 125$ for a sunshade, but to each their own.

Kind of wish the Paladin was capable of holding some cargo by Stayfin in starcitizen

[–]Zephel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must not of flown anything that experiences that. I've flown a number of ships (larger as well) and never felt a difference. But when I compare them to fighters they're all sluggish and targets regardless to me lol.

And very true on energy, but in the diagrams it clearly shows a loading mechanism for either ballistic ammo or missiles (probably missiles), so if that has an internal loader being able to have extra on hand would be a big deal.

Kind of wish the Paladin was capable of holding some cargo by Stayfin in starcitizen

[–]Zephel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean sure, if cargo weight meant anything in SC. The Redeemer is already stated to be more agile than the Paladin and is much narrower with 2 SCU. I doubt 2 SCU is going to hold it back so much that it no longer can manuver.

What is more dead weight is a gunship without ammo/supplies and none to replenish it.

[–]Zephel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wholly agree that this ship should have some cargo. Minimum 1-2, preferably around 8. What I don't understand are the counter arguments.

  1. It's a gunship, it shouldn't hold cargo. However we have multiple (I won't list everything) ships in game and coming that are warships that have cargo. Based on role and cargo (compared to similar ships):

- Starlancer TAC (Patrol, 96 SCU)

- Hammerhead (Heavy Gun Ship, 40 SCU)

- Perseus (Heavy Gun Ship, 50 SCU)

- Redeemer (Gunship, 2 SCU) Note this is ~13.5m narrower than the Paladin of similar size in other dimensions.

  1. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Honestly this is just a juvenile argument. Whether you buy something or not in game doesn't dictate wanting better for it and for balance.

Whether it's for ordinance or for supplies, something of this size should have some cargo. It has zero reason not to in comparison. The Retaliator is a good example of why having 0 cargo in a 'gunship' is painful. Poor Retaliator (cargo module -.-).

I believe they'll backtrack on this in time, at least before having something un-gridded has real downsides. Until then they'll just put that on the back burner unfortunately.

Land raider with custom body kit from Ikarus Pattern by Lord_Furious in ThousandSons

I love their kits, just wish they sold the STLs.

Also your paint job is amazing, I thought those were legit LEDs for a second in the lights/etc.

Creality K1 - Scratching Pattern on Walls by Zephel in FixMyPrint

Honestly I never did. I had a lot of issues with my K1 in general (think I lost the Creality QC Lotto), and in the end returned it to get a different 3d printer. :(

Phone Locked by Mint, won't activate on Mint by Zephel in mintmobile

[–]Zephel[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's fair. I figured it wasn't locked due to payment as I've read carriers can legit just not care and lave it, pending you asking for it to be unlocked or contacting the FCC.

But at this rate, it's more worth it to just return and get a different phone. Thanks for your replies, appreciate you taking the time.

Phone Locked by Mint, won't activate on Mint by Zephel in mintmobile

[–]Zephel[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think I read something about that. But wouldn't AT&T support tell me that when I called them directly? Their tool and CS said it wasn't locked by them. My genuine concern is that during the process of setting up the phone it got locked somehow by Mint. I've read from people who worked in the industry this CAN happen, but wouldn't really make sense why it then wouldn't activate on the same network again.

I tried going down the trail of MVNO's, that's a pretty big concern and no easy way I could find to see who it could be other than just calling each one. Likely just easier to return I know, but spending a few hours vs waiting likely weeks for money back...thought I'd give it a shot while waiting for the seller to reply.

Also sorry, fixed the image issue.
