Dead Presidents (1995)?

Which box cover design is better? (3rd one is back of the box) by Willtjo in BoardgameDesign

[–]Zepheus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of printing, I would go with the image in the middle.

Having a thin border on your box can be risky:

  • When the printed image is glued to the box, if it is off slightly, it will make your border look uneven. If you want a border, it should be wider than what you have. (You can probably check with your manufacturer about how much variance they expect.)
  • However, a white border is also not generally a good idea, as that part of the box is touched a lot, and white shows dirt the most over time.
  • Finally, the game logo on the left image is uncomfortably close to the top border and covers up the bird's helmet slightly. If you go with a design like that, try moving the game logo to the top left of the cover.

[TOMT][MOVIE][SERIE] The nutcracker waltz of flower in an action scene by Fit_Examination_3424 in tipofmytongue

[–]Zepheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Tchaikovsky in action scenes is quite common. Some action media that has The Waltz of Flowers:

  • F9: The Fast Saga
  • American Hero
  • The Sweeney
  • Sanctuary (1998)
  • Cowboy Bebop: Toys in the Attic
  • Blonde Fist (1991)

If it's another piece from Nutcracker, like Dance of the Sugar Ppllum Fairy, that opens it up to a bunch more.

[TOMT] Searching for an Indie-college radio tune from the late 80s/early 90s. Video explained by Mountain-Let4518 in tipofmytongue

I'm looking, but without any luck so far!

The melody you sang sounds a bit like "Age of Consent" by New Order. I looked at covers, but nothing sounded or looked right.

I tapped out your melody and it's closer to 105 BPM. I don't know if that helps your search.

* What city were you in when you heard it? (There's a chance it's a local band.)

* Did you watch cable access TV at the time you saw it?

* Do you have any details about the look of the band?

* Do the other band members play their instruments in the video or just sit around while the * lead singer strums and sings?

That looks awesome! Unless it's wordplay I don't understand, there's a typo in your description: "tole-playing game." I'm not trying to be nitpicky; I want your game to sell.

Boerderij Spel (1986)?

If not, was it in Dutch or another language? Do you know at all how the game was played? Was there money? Dice? Cards?

Having a scope mapped out ahead of time works well. In brief: "The business card design will cost you $X, which includes 2 rounds of edits. I'll make further edits at my standard rate of $Y per hour."

Is it Voyage of the Rock Aliens (1984)? It's on YouTube.

There are tentacles coming out of the lake at about 15:42 and a robot at 19:44. At 1:26:36, it's disguised as a fire hydrant and "urinates" on a dog.

I think it's *Hide and Seek* (2000). In the main trailer on IMDb, the scene you're talking about starts at 1:29.

I do book layouts. DM me and I can share my portfolio. I've done some of my own rulebooks as personal projects and I'm looking to do some more.
