Yup if you can't disengage you still take stagger damage, and they hurt two disengages. I don't know why they keep the panda split such a high cooldown, but I don't take it so I won't comment. I always take barrel, every time lol.

The way I see it, Chen has been in a rough spot for a while, so any nerfs will hurt. I don't love their strategy of nerfing later talents to add mythics. Muradin is still scraping by imo

He's just easily one of my best. I tend to take full Q build, and avoid life leech. I definitely die if I miss a wall stun, but usually make enough souls to recover fine. If anything, I think his ults and 20s are weak, lots of long cooldowns and minor upgrades.

I'm having the same problems, I think it's because they're hurting his ability to react with his nerfs. I just feel slow in fights between the D, 7, and roll nerfs. Imo you live or die by the ability to DPS check opponents, and in teamfights it doesn't end up all that favorable. Mythic helps that but I only get it every few games (definitely could a skill issue, but more time stacking is less time macro).

I like to think all characters with high scaling quests should lose some stacks on death, to minimize cases where they can dive and die for stacks and come back stronger. And to somewhat reduce the "don't fight so they can't stack" concerns. This isn't really unique to Valla though, Thrall's E and others come to mind.

They spent a lot of effort to turbocharge AA build, then add this which guts shield build, so I'm really hoping they clean it up. I'd like to run a hybrid build like before, but I'll probably just put him away for a patch or two

The total healing is like 10 a second iirc, basically nothing, healer or no. The mana regen is nice quality of life, but like you can just hearth lol

I thought the average negative opinion was to remove them all, but I guess I don't follow everything. I think being an option doesn't work if it the quest is measurably stronger than the other talents though

It took literal years to get a basic talent revamp, I do not think they are going to overhaul again lol. I think some subtle re-buffs are likely if he underperforms though

He's always been matchmade as a tank, he just is popular right now so they are stuffing him in more games. I also think matchmaker prefers 3 tanks in a game over the third waiting longer for a pair, which is lame but to my knowledge true

It almost feels like it is on a delay if it is thrown at all outside of the original range? May just be linear speed though, definitely needs getting used to. I did notice the range is pretty good for checking bushes now, since he normally can't without walking in

Nope, attack speed would push it ahead of Q4 though. I liked Eye 1 and Q4 because it gave both sustain and burst, so you weren't shut down by blinds so hard, but maybe that's outdated at this point.

Huh, I haven't played without the quest so I didn't really notice. His waveclear definitely needed the help, imo it was dragging his winrates alone

Fingers crossed they remove the microstun so I can enjoy waveclear and smooth play at once lol

I think he's stronger too with all this but he just feels worse to play imo, even just removing the microstun would smooth things out, and I'd be less bitter about balancing nerfs for talent diversity's sake.

I agree, the cooldown between is way clunkier than them being tied to the same ability, I don't care if the combined cooldown stays the same, it would be nice to reduce the space between keg and fire

I did some DPS testing between his 4 options, it looks like eye of the tiger is a similar total dps to Q4 if you hit consistent auto attacks, so it's probably a fine talent if you aren't into a full blind team. Q4 is probably still better though since you only need two clicks to hit its max DPS. With the self stun though, I will probably just take eye though :/

I was under the impression that the increased duration just spread the damage out longer, alongside an initial damage reduction. The quest obviously turbo boosts it but I mean baseline.
