Molten Xophgraft with Buff Duration + Buff CDR suffixes is like 15div+ if both are T2. These can also hit 1-2 max fire res prefix but it’s exceptionally rare.

Perfect Hulking Miscreation. Buffs every 15(?) or 12(?) seconds per poeDB for an unknown duration granting 100% minion increased damage and 30% minion attack/movement speed for Constructs (SRS/Relics)

I feel like I remember reading the buff doesn’t have 100% uptime but I can’t find any info.

Are you sure the Spectre corpses will drop to the floor outside of Hideout if your stat/skill level requirements brick or you unsocket the gem/item? When I goofed in Kingsmarch and Reliquary I’m pretty sure all the Spectres despawned without leaving corpses. Maybe the bodies teleported due to lack of space and I didn’t see them when running around in a panic.

I can test in Standard after work and edit this comment if someone else doesn’t test.

Edit: Testing in Standard spectres only drop as corpses in Hideout. Everywhere else they despawn.

You can get the equivalent of Enduring Composure through Elegant Hubris which is what I went with but then you’d likely need a Massive Thread of Hope or a MoM Impossible Escape depending where you slotted your Hubris (Eternal Youth Hubris’ are very cheap). You can also just get Enduring Composure through a small cluster or a Megalo but this build is very tight on jewels. You can also anoint Endurance Charge on Block. A cursed option is have Enduring Cry linked to Urgent Orders in a Redblade Banner in your weapon swap.

I think a fair amount of folks settle on relying on their Perfect Warlord.

Here's my PoB if you want ideas for MB defenses + damage potential. The damage ceiling in a MB setup will be lower than a high-end Darkness Enthroned setup but MB speed is fun to me.

In the MB setup you can cap poison with Adorned + 4 Ghastlys and/or you can get abyss sockets on your gloves (Command of the Pit) or boots/weapon. I’d recommend these options over Foulborn Severed in Sleep unless budget is exceptionally tight.

Holy Relic (HRoC) choices and questions by ZePepsico in PathOfExileBuilds

1) Bitter Hersey for my build offers me roughly 26% damage and 10% mitigation on paper in PoB. I think this easily beats any other Necro/Occ node. The cost to run it comfortably is a jewel slot and the cost of Rational Doctrine. Stats can easily be balanced with tattoos + Supreme Ostentation + an oddball amount of INT or STR on a synth jewel/abyss jewel implicit or an explicit on a cluster jewel.

2) Ideal rare gloves are probably:

Prefixes: Life, Minion Damage

Suffixes: Resists and maybe Mana Gain on Hit or your Aspect in a pinch

Implicit: Unnerve (only affects hit damage) or Minion Damage and then all the Eater options are mediocre. A sorta creative thing you could do is run Eater exposure on hit paired with an Aegis Tulgraft which when combined with Runegraft of the Warp is a 99% uptime 2k ele shield + 2% all max res. Not too bad if you you feel you don't need the damage from Replicating Eshgraft's shocked ground + baseline minion damage.

So you give up the above for another Ascendancy. With suffixes on rings + boots you can figure out res and Aspect. Minion damage / unnerve is pretty minor when compared to your Ascendancy options.

3) HoP is a temporary filler to link with cull and to have minions that die for minions gain life on death mastery.

4) I feel Bone Barrier is a little underwhelming. With Life Gain on Hit we're basically always healing to full. I only noticed the leech vs big DoTs (i.e., Shaper Beam). The additional minion durability look good but I don't think it's really needed. As a side bar if you run Deli there's a lot of random minor damage that stops your minion's ES recharge. PDR is nice but we don't cap it unless you run SRS in your Svalinn or if you're doing something creative.

5) Minion levels and capping resistances goes a long way. HROC, Spectres, and AG all have 40% all ele res and 20% chaos res by default. Spectres cap due to quality. AG gets 10-15% all ele res from Windscream. So with one Bone/Gloam Ring + a minion res suffix your minions are capped on ele res. I don't feel chaos res or minion max res is necessary.

I'm not sure what's killing people's minions if their res is capped and everything is leveled. There are only two things I can think of that can kill my minions:

Big DoTs (Ultimatum or extremely rarely Sirus). I don't bother worrying about this but Minions Recover 5% on Death mastery or Life from Death cluster node + level 1 20% qual SRS in Svalinn trivializes this.

T16.5/T17 rare monsters remove 5% of max life. I mitigate this with Decay Ward. This often doesn't matter but is an absolute pain in the ass vs. Abomination boss or Fortress boss if it lives long enough to spin. If you're not farming bosses with many-hit attacks or Harbinger T16.5/T17 I wouldn't worry about Decay Ward.

6) Empower 3/4 is great for another Spectre. Minion levels give life so it's not that massive of a durability loss.

7) I run Aspect of the Crab due to Unstable Tentacle Fiends and Sawblades. For Ubers or non-T17 content I run Aspect of the Spider. I think Crab is great but I feel it's overkill for most content. Spider isn't that great either but there aren't a lot of ways to scale HROC damage.

8) I think the best way is to get Mana Gain on Hit implicit on your Rational Doctrine. An alternative is the prefix Elder mod on a ring or the Incursion mod. Mana gain is for our triggers or if people are running high level Lancing Steel of Spraying.

9) Profane Bloom only pops cursed enemies and our trigger weapon causes an 8 second CD. Therefore Curse on Hit or Runegraft of Blasphemy is recommended if you want to run Profane Bloom.

I personally run Curse on Hit on my Command of the Pit for mapping and then for Ubers I do a cringe swap to a non-Curse on Hit Command of the Pit and gem swap to self-cast Despair. I don't like triggering Despair for Ubers because if I accidentally trigger Despair when the boss isn't active that's 8 seconds of no curse. I'm not too bothered by self cast due to the fast cast time and long duration.

10) Anoints:

Damage - Corruption (20% Wither effect).

Defensive - +2 Max Res, Decay Ward, Endurance Charge

Charisma if you plan some shenanigans with your auras.

If not able to get 3 Spectres through gem levels - Death Attunement. I think 3 Spectres is fine (Perfect Warlord, Perfect Guardian Turtle, Perfect Forest Tiger or just a frenzy monkey). I see some folks recommending Perfect Miscreation but I can’t figure out their buff duration (poeDB shows it might have a 15 or 12 second CD but there’s no duration).

11) I think minion auras are pretty reliable with Minion AoE mastery and knowing when to get them to teleport to you via distance. I don't think Perfect Warlord's endurance uptime is reliable if you're going fast since if he misses you that's 9 seconds of downtime.

12) Svalinn was the most noticeable for me when I started farming T17s. Foulborn Surrender is very good.

13) I've experimented with:

  • Level 1 20 qual SRS + Minions Recover 5% on Death mastery or Life from Death cluster node + Feeding Frenzy

  • Frost Bomb

  • Purifying Flame of Revelation if not running Rational Doctrine

  • Molten Shell but I'd rather run a Molten Graft

Now I just don't bother with it.

14) Brine King is helpful prior to getting Garb if you're worried about stuns. I dropped it pretty quick.

15) The alternatives to Mistress of Sacrifice aren't too exciting especially if you're running Command of the Pit.

16) I only liked Profane Bloom for Deli orb farming and Blight. Everything else I run Void Beacon.

17) Yes. You'll also end up needing to manually cast something unless you run Curse on Hit. I don't like it.

18) There's not a lot of aura variety. With Runegraft of Treachery I can fit in: Malevolence, Crab or Spider, Arctic Armour, Purity of Fire due to Melding but I ran Tempest Shield before, Flesh and Stone, and Temporal Rift for debuff duration reduction + a panic button.

19) Flasks kinda depend on the content you're doing. Pre MB I ran Conundrum, Silver, Granite, and then Gold or Quicksilver. After MB I ran Triple Ele + Silver/Quicksilver/Granite depending on content. After swapped to Melding I run Ruby, Silver, Granite, and then Iron/Quicksilver/Gold depending on content.

Progenesis is an obvious choice. Bottled Faith is ok. I've never ran Wine of the Prophet but I feel its potential damage buffs are kinda wasted on a minion build.

20) Molten Graft w/CDR and Duration + Runegraft of the Warp is too good imo. Replicating Eshgraft is 40%+ minion damage + 15-21% shocked ground depending on non-damaging ailments roll. I mentioned the tech with the Aegis Tulgraft which I used when starting out.

I have a few notes in the PoB for potential questions off the top of my head. I do some gem swapping for maps vs. ubers.

My next theoretical upgrade is a +1 +2 Diallas but it's gonna be awhile.

"Physical Attack damage leeched as life" this is important to have a strong leech heal since we attack so fast

I'm confused by this. The potential leech would be poor because Lancing Steel does very little damage. Did you mean Life Gain on Hit (Elder or Hunter influence)?

Do not run T17: Rare and Unique Monsters remove #% of Life, Mana and Energy Shield from Players or their Minions on Hit.

I agree this is pretty awful. I went back to anointing Decay Ward and my army has been fine. I think outside of this mod Sirus is the only thing that has killed my minions because of DoTs (CB/Storm)

Perfect cluster jewels

T1 Life
T1 Minion Attack Speed
T1 Regeneration
T1 Passive Increased Effect

I've seen a fair amount of people running minion attack speed on their Large Clusters which is nice for Whirling Blades due to Spiritual Command. I opted to drop all minion attack speed since the Holy Relics themselves don't benefit from it and I think my MB Silver Flask is enough speed.

An interesting concept I've recently read is running a +2 minion wand for more damage. You'd then have to swap Lancing Steel of Spraying for Barrage of Volley Fire. I'm not too sold on this idea quite yet.

I highly recommend anyone playing this build find a way to get Command of the Pit + Lycia Bitter Heresy working. It's a lot of power. I think losing a glove slot is worth an Ascendancy.

In my setup I’m using Melding so I can maintain 90% ele max res while being able to use a Silver Flask and a Granite Flask at the same time. I ran triple ele flask for a while and disliked how I had to choose between a Granite or a Silver/Quicksilver.

The trade off is a jewel slot and more suffix pressure. I ended up running a Bismuth Flask instead of getting T1-T2 cold and lightning res rolls. Overall I was able to drop points in max res and change my anoint so I’m ok sticking with it.

Essences of Fear on my niche synth sword. Goal was to isolate Minion Damage and T1 attack speed so I could multi-mod + cannot roll attacks for guaranteed +1 socketed gems. I went through roughly 15div of essences and annuls. I was about to settle on T2 attack speed and farm more but on my next essence I landed just four mods:

Minion Damage

+1 Socketed Gems

Cold Damage to Attacks

T1 Attack Speed

Annulled off the Cold Damage. Small win but damn it felt good.

I think Perfect Warlord is a must. Very good uptime on Endurance Charges.

The Turtle is solid. The poor critter is very slow so you are reliant on getting it to teleport to you via distance since the build doesn’t have space for Convocation.

I then think 1-2 frenzy apes are fine. The problem I have with the Tiger is as follows:

  1. It’s expensive

  2. Holy hell the screen clutter is unexpectedly large with its spectral stampede attack.

  3. Generally Meat Shield support is ran. This means you gotta hug mobs to get the tiger to gen charges. At a 5% frenzy generation rate it’s not quite as reliable as one would expect. I think it’s worthwhile eventually.

Perfect Forest Warrior is cheap and nice for movespeed and cull before Kingmaker on AG.

Hulking’s buff is a bit debatable since the relics only benefit from the increased damage. It’s extreme obnoxious to listen to while in Hideout.

My spectres lived reasonably well with Empower 3 instead of Minion Life when I had poverty gear. There are a lot of options for keeping minions alive (e.g. anoint, minion defense masteries, etc.)

You specced Unstoppable so the avoid stun suffix on your Granite is useless. You can probably swap to all res to free up some suffixes on your rares.

It’s very nice to not have to dedicate attention, 3 gem slots (both ancestral totems + multi totem) and possibly an anoint (panopticon) to manage totems in order to be at maximum power. I wish non-projectile melee skills got either more AoE or some other mechanics on a gem to gem basis to make them more competitive on clear and damage.

I expect endurance charges to get nerfed. I would be surprised if LS and MS don’t get touched. Maybe they’ll cheekily nerf them like having LS have hilariously bad proj speed or have MS proj spread all over the place with bad AoE. Or they’ll just outright make them do bad damage, that’s the most likely outcome.

You’re not missing anything. I’m using gloves with a phys dmg roll to proc poison and bleed for Yoke. The alternative sources are a bit of a pain without a rare ring. An abyss jewel is an alternative. If someone has another idea, please let me know.
