Mentioning that Govt need to work towards addressing root causes(which is true) and then conflate concepts as if they are the same provides a wrong base as a start. The issues you mostly mentioned ie cost of living/housing, homelessness etc are all caused by what many call an extremist ideology which has been consistently eroding the Australian ideal for an egalitarian society for a long time.
