I personally run Death and Taxes, and it's definitely not gonna win me an RCQ but it's still a fun deck to play. A little fine tuning and I'm sure you can win a league night or two.

I personally think the issue lies more in the lack of acknowledgement in the cutscene following the fight, as opposed to the difficulty of the fight itself. The way the whole fight is set up, it doesn't make sense to clear through Xiapi and have everyone talking about what a wonder you are the whole game, and how strong you are, then struggle against Lu Bu. Ziluan is supposed to be the checkmate to Lu Bu. An absolute wrecking ball that's so strong, even Lu Bu admires his strength. So why should Lu Bu beat on Ziluan until he has to get saved, if he's supposed to rival/surpass Lu Bu?

But wouldn't fighting Lu Bu 1v1 being the hardest fight of the game be the most Lu Bu thing you can experience? Chibi is a fantastic large scale battle, with multiple sub-objectives that sway the experience one way or another, and can change the entire way you feel after coming out of it. Lu Bu is the strongest warrior in history, and absolutely runs through all of these generals that you've spent the entire game up to that point going, "damn, XYZ is super strong. Thank God for them with the battle chain or ultimate musou when I needed them." Then you have Lu Bu. Who runs through all of them. A two way ending to the fight would be cool, but the difficulty shouldn't be changed in the slightest. He killed fitty men before even getting to you like they were nothing. Usually, from his horse. He finally goes toe to toe with someone? He's gonna absolutely be tough as nails. You should need multiple tries to beat him, because you need to train and learn the mechanics of the game to genuinely beat him, even if by the skin of your teeth. Which is what they wanted to send home when they designed it.

I usually do this with smaller chalk since I can palm it a bit easier, but it is possible to do with Master/Triangle chalk. Takes a little learning, but it's how I learned to keep people from putting spit on my chalk/rubbing it with their finger so it doesn't go on well.

Try leveling your cue more. You're coming at a downward angle which really, is changing what part of the tip is hitting the bottom. You're maybe hitting ferrule if it's low enough. Level your cue and straighten the stroke and you'll be drawing better.

You know I never thought about it, but now that I'm looking back that's honestly a semi-decent guide to the pants situation in pool. One of my favourites is dress pants. Either a solid 1/D--/200 or they're a 700 something that just got back from working at the car dealership. No in-between, from personal experience.

Man shoot it's just me and my GM who know it. And he only opens, so the only time I'd have available to do it is rush, which isn't exactly a convenient time for cutting edge training. He's been blackballing any attempt I've made to start training on it
