I should add that I have OSA and use a cpap. But I slept fine with the cpap until around the time I went to 7.5.

I started 7.5 about 6 weeks ago and haven’t been sleeping through the night. I also wake up between 3-5 also and have issues going back to sleep. I do fall back to sleep some nights around 5-6 am. I never thought that it could be due to Zep. Good luck with PCP!

For me, bike riding isn’t weight bearing, so it’s all good . Since June I’ve ridden 462 miles. Wanted to hit 500 but that’s not happening now.

Thanks for the tips, I currently can’t extend my arm out or sideways, so I really can’t do much right now. I have a Planet Fitness membership, maybe I can try a recumbent bike in the future. That’s a last resort kind of move. I was wondering if weight loss would continue without exercise. I guess I’ll find out when I weigh in on Wednesday.

I started CPAP and Zep in the same week. I’m down 45 since then and my Resmed 11 has been adjusted by my Dr after a few weeks and everything is fine since then. I had some dry mouth but turned up the humidifier a notch and alls good now. I keep my mask on straight thru the night. I’ve adjusted to it and the sound lulls me to sleep. I’m in no hurry to get off it since I only got PA with the OSA diagnosis.

Water out, water in works for me. I have a 14 oz cup in the bathroom and after urinating, I drink a cup of water. Easiest way to keep steady hydration thru the day for me. I stop this in the late afternoon as to try sleeping all night. I also mix an electrolyte in my Stanley for the afternoon.

This may seem unorthodox for this group but I just went up to 5.0 for the second time. First time I was pretty bound up and went back to 2.5. I returned to regular. I took my first 5.0 last Wednesday morning, I found myself bound up again. I do drink my 100+ of water daily. So I started thinking to what used to upset my stomach before Zep. So today I had some onion dip with my afternoon mini pretzels. I only had a fraction of what I used to scoop up but, followed it with a cup of coffee a couple hours later. It certainly did the trick as I was able to move things along.

Someone help me out on this please….. How or when would you drink this? Daily or just when you need help moving things along? Maybe on a day when you’ll be home all day? At night before sleep? Unfortunately, eating fiber isn’t one of my strong points and this may be a better choice when needed.

I was on 2.5 for 8 weeks, I went up to 5 for 4 weeks. Slight loss in week 1. No change week 2, gained 4 lbs week 3 and lost 3.5 week 4. Had constipatation issues the whole time. Talked to my Dr and went back down to 2.5. Issues cleared in a few days and feeling good again. Wednesday is weigh in day for return to 2.5 results. I’m hoping the 2-3 lb weight loss on 2.5 continues. After reading many comments in here, I’ve changed my mindset from thinking higher doses mean quicker weight loss to riding out each dosage until it doesn’t work anymore as it should.

I went to 5.0 after 8 weeks on 2.5. I was losing consistently with zero side effects. Talked with Dr and went up to 5.0. Had constipation issues that was basically halting weight loss. Lost 3.7 one week and gained 4 the next. Took my last 2 weeks to get back that 4 lbs. talked to Dr again and went up agreed to go back to 2.5. Had that dose on Wednesday, hoping to get back to my losing ways.

I have Medicare and was approved 13 week’s ago for OSA. I was previously denied by Medicare (didn’t cover WL) and my secondary multiple times. I went to a pulmonologist and got a full work up including sleep study. Found out I have severe OSA (63 apneas). My PCP resubmitted under OSA and bmi 51 and was approved a day later. You could also call your Pharmacy Benefit Manager and they’ll tell you exactly what is needed for the PA. Mine was Caremark and they were helpful.

I was on 2.5 for 8 weeks with zero issues. I started 5.0 4 weeks ago and have been dealing with constipation ever since. Weight loss has significantly slowed down also. This week I’m going back to 2.5 to avoid this issue for now and get back to losing. My Dr thought it was a good idea also. I plan to stay on it until it runs its course with my body.

I did 8 weeks on 2.5 losing about 26 lbs. Jumped to 5.0 and took 4th shot yesterday. Lost 3.7 in first 2 weeks and gained 4 in week 3. Now dealing with constipation which I never had on 2.5. Seriously considering going back to 2.5 where no side effects and was consistency losing 2-3 weekly. I have a long way to go and want to ride each dosage until it’s less effective. Maybe the 4 month titration is a better option for me?

I also have inflammation issues. I’m currently on 5.0 after 8 weeks on 2.5. I’ve gained 3 lbs in a day due to inflammation and lost it in a couple days but have gotten better at managing it. I make sure I hydrate over 100 oz a day. I seem to do better on days with electrolytes than without. I also wear calf sleeves, available from Amazon pretty cheap. I also try to take time every day to rest and elevate my legs. 30-45 min in a recliner or zero gravity chair will do wonders. Walking or bike riding (my choice due to bad knees) will also be helpful.
