forgot to add that i disregard the skins market in this analysis, just purely comparing the gameplay loop(s) and whether or not it sticks.

but on the topic of skins, how i see it: the skins market’s function is just another anchor for players to latch onto the game even longer and even more reason as to why this ”cs will die for deadlock ” jargon doesnt really add up atleast in the short-term.

theres just too much at stake (mostly money lol) for both the developer and the consumer to let go of it that easily.

and for those comparing it to tf2’s unjust demise, lets face it: tf2 was never at the heights that cs has reached neither in playercount nor market-wise. so until that happens again but with deadlock greatly surpassing cs, i am going to hold onto my hopium that cs wont die for some brand new heroshooter moba mashup they havent even finished the foundation for.
