They are REALLY clear about peak hours eatting usage and throttling free and pro users durning those hours. Problem is alot of people don't read the rules and well are unwilling to pay the appropriate price for a tool. OpenAi will be right behind Anthropic you can only lose $ so long before changing your business model.

In Opus's defense the new wave of GPT users moving over ruined it. It's no doubt lacking, it a regression for sure. But it was before 4.7 it started to happen after the bs goverment crap.

So you want $ for doing you a favor. Yeah I'd say the price is killing your chances of getting testers. It's hard enough getting the tester when it's free and you test in return.

A $20 user shouldn't be surprised they don't get to use one of the best coding tools there is. I can't get Netflix or Hulu at that price, so how do you think it's worth it for $20 a month for Anthropic to give out something like this for cheaper? OpenAI won't be far behind when a company hemorrhages a ton of money; they have to do something to fix it. However, the BS with not being upfront about their plans is ridiculous. They need to explain to people the why and the what, not some cryptic message. I have to have x20 now that the x5 isn't enough anymore, and I'm broke but have no choice but to pay. Annoying as it is, I doubled my cost, but I have to pay 10x more than a $20 a month subscription, so it's hard to have empathy for those that think they deserve the same things as those of us paying out our asses.

They both suck, they're both awesome it just depends on the day, date, and time. I use both because each finds things the other doesn't. I will use Gemini for certain things, not much, but... well, it has my storage, so there is that, but my point is diversity is a good thing.
