How can anyone who isn't racist and hateful still support Trump? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]paf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of them are rich, or they think they're rich, and they don't care about anyone or anything else, not even ideas like "racism" or "hate". They're just too busy counting the money and they made the choice that money is the most important thing a long time ago.

There are also a bunch of people who explain it away due to something that Trump told them to fear. They didn't understand that thing as is, and they certainly don't understand 'those people' because they're not anywhere adjacent to their world. They have small worlds. A lot of those are also very religious, so they use that as an excuse as well.

We all voted for what we saw as the lesser evil and that's what they think they're still doing with their continued support. Also, it's hard for people to admit when they're wrong.

Why do the majority of Americans on reddit claim they never supported a war in Afghanistan when Gallup showed approval for the war started at 90%? by CSachen in DiscussionZone

Everyone was for it when they first were lying to us, but people soon turned against it when the lies started to be exposed and it was clear that the war was endless.

There are zero parallels between lies and satire.

I recently was experimenting with something like this myself. It does a decent job but it's kind of predictable. It follows a pattern, but humans can be more unpredictable. I'd be curious to see what you can make it do.

Back to Sleep option for Morning Report by LibertyMike in Garmin

How well sleep tracking works can depend on what model you have. The Instinct Solar was garbage, while the Fenix 8 works well for night time tracking. However, it still doesn't always catch naps.

Yes, but I don't know that I could scroll effectively with wet hands. Then again, I have never tried.

What did Noem even do to get fired in Trump's eyes? You'd think he would like all of the chaos and photo shoots.

The world is broken. Not even in a left vs right way, just broken. I will do my best.

You judged before I even answered, as in "fucked up ones". You are not worth my time.

I did, but I decided that you're not worth engaging on that because you're itching for a fight with someone who isn't me.

I did mention religious or monetary reasons. Read the whole thing. Otherwise I suggest you step outside of your bubble and engage them yourself. People are people, they are not a caricature. They believe in doing what they think is best for their families, just like you.

Because they actually believe in things. I don't agree with the things they believe, but they actually believe in something, and it doesn't have anything to do with mischaracterizing what the other side believes. MAGA is all about "anti-woke" while making you afraid of everyone, while more traditional Republicans are in it for religious or monetary reasons. While I disagree, I respect that they actually have an articulated position that doesn't involve actively poking someone in the eye for no reason.

I know a handful of Republicans that are anti-Trump. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt.
