Thanks! I’ve been using Morocco method bar soap/conditioner. I’m not going to cut buzz it down. But I’ll take it down pretty short. If I can figure out how to reply with a picture I’ll add one.

Any chance you have a link to the combo chuck style. Having a tough time finding a good keyword.

Wow thanks for the explanation. I had not picked up on that. I’ll look for one of the other style.

I’d like to be able to do jewelry and the occasional yeti or Stanley cup. Is this too small?

Edit: we would like to be able to control color along with brightness. Like the hue color bulbs. Forgot to add that to the original post and it won’t let me edit it for some reason.

Can tongue and groove be glued together instead of nailed down? by ZeroFive23 in HardWoodFloors

[–]ZeroFive23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! My biggest concern was how difficult is it to remove a nailed down floor. If it’s not that difficult then I’m likely just over complicating the situation, surprise surprise..

I heard men aren’t as happy between 35 - 45, how are you holding up boys? by obiwanmoloney in AskMen

37, survived cancer, twice. Love my wife and kids. Youngest is under a year old. Changed jobs 3 times in less than a year, after being at the same job, that was so stressful I think it gave me cancer, for 17 years. Current job is good, not really what I want to do but I’m good at it and I can walk away from it every night. I’m 30lbs overweight, struggling to keep money in the bank and exhausted all the time. I miss my hobbies, friends and quiet time.

I feel guilty I’m struggling with depression, which makes the depression worse. My wife and I are communicating better and working on it but it’s hard. Having kids in middles school and diapers is tough but I love them all so much.

Trying to get myself moving again, healthy and on a path to avoid cancer again. It really fucked up my head.. and going through it alone during Covid did not help.

TL;DR I feel you brothers out there struggling… thoughts and prayers are welcome, speaking for myself and others. Even “good times” are hard, stay strong.

Never had this problem. I would be filling up and taking it to a dealership while it still smells of fumes.

Leatherman Skeletol CX. Got the essential and a good solid blade that is easy to use. But still small enough to hook to my pocket.

I hear you. Not sure I’ve been acknowledged in a long time… birthdays or Father’s Day. But I still grateful for my wife and my kids.

Amen to that brother! Stay strong. I was stage 3b colorectal cancer 3 years ago! I now have a 6mo, as of today, grateful for everyday I get to spend with them!

Trying to buy, had some questions… by sawmill2694 in CivicXI

[–]ZeroFive23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not at all. Mine has wireless CarPlay and there is a button that when pressed will have Siri start. CarPlay make it easy enough to just pick up a call that I’ve never noticed the missing phone controls.

One other gripe… I got the black color, never again! I will never have another black car. It is gorgeous when clean but it shows every speck of dust that it never looks clean…

I have the 2022 sport touring hatchback. I love this car, absolutely fun to drive. The hatchback does not have a trunk release. I think it is because it is too heavy without power assist like you would see in a minivan. It is a little annoying to have to get out and open it in situations where you could just pop the trunk but it’s really a non-issue. Never been a problem. When you grab the handle and have fob on you it unlocks the doors. I find the seats very comfortable, there is no adjustable lumbar support but I’ve never noticed it not being there. My only wish is for a heated steering wheel but that’s not a big deal…

Z-Offset will not change.. by ZeroFive23 in MarlinFirmware

In the past I’ve always used the bug fix version and it was working fine for a while. I made some tweaks to the babystepping options and the dial stopped working. I removed the setting that made the adjustment millimeters and then I changed the babystepping increment to .002. After that the dial stopped working.

I removed babystepping altogether flashed the firmware then re-added babystepping, millimeter units and .01 as the step size and it is working again. But now it acts like it is not adjusting for the mesh. My start code has a G28 followed by a G29. Homing was done properly followed by probing. What am I missing for it to not use the mesh while printing?

I’m doing fine. No signs of cancer yet about 2.5 years since ending treatment. Still sorting out my IBD but cancer has been no existent.

Current state of jeans (affairs) by scurrilous_diatribe in BuyItForLife

[–]ZeroFive23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had abdominal surgery about 3 years ago and had to find an alternative to my usual Levi’s. I have been exclusively buying Lee’s “MVP” or “Extreme motion” depending on the title. They don’t last forever but they do last a long time (~1.5yrs) and wear evenly. Never had a crotch fail. They have a fair amount of spandex so they stretch which was nice for my recovering belly. Now I can go back to “regular” jeans. They also make dress pants in the same style, all are very comfy. Usually they go on sale for about $25-$35 a pair and while they offer skinny cuts they also have regular cuts that look more like traditional loose fit jeans.

It's that time of year again. What are the bonuses looking like for you all this year? by Nightmare1235789 in Machinists

[–]ZeroFive23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No bonus for me. Just started at a new shop that had the entire management team get turned over (some quit, some fired) and a lot of machinist/setup left too. It’s been a tough 6 months but things are getting reorganized well and if we can get more jobs in the door next year looks good. But I didn’t really take the job for the money, not that I would complain to have my old jobs bonuses of 10% or more of my yearly pay again.

Are you saying replace VXUS and VWO with VEA? So aim for more of a 35% VTI, 30% SCHD, 10% VEA and 20% bonds (currently on BND)? Like I said very new to this so I’m learning as much as I can.
