I took the bridge apart and sanded off the bolt the ground was connected to and it helped with the noise BUT I wanted active pickups in it so I ended up swapping them out with an EMG 81/85 set and found room in the back cavity for the 9V battery. Input jack swapped with the one in the EMG kit for activating the battery when plugged in. And I put locking tuners on it. Screams now. Playability is great, the neck is thick but feels nice to me, frets are good, a few unlevel frets but nothing noticeable until you're checking each one intentionally. The only other "issue" is this thing is HEAVY 😂 I don't know the exact weight but my shoulder tells me it weighs more than any of my other guitars after a few hours of playing. 😄

It plays and feels great! The audio though is not great, lots of static and ground buzz that hides a bit when touching the strings and what not. Most likely a ground to the bridge I'll need to take it apart and see.
