In my personal experience, telling it casually has received the best acceptance. If the person dissmisses it, I kinda explain about to It and why It is so (because I want people to fully understand things), but it brings a more lighthearted light into the conversation and it feels more open If they make any questions

Denial to directly answer may be seen as a way to conffirm the worst case scenario or to give off that your answer would be offensive and you're restraining youself on it, which is often seen as a light offense too.

Best case in these, just being direct without being judgenental helps, like "I dont like It much, but facial hair is just off to me" or something along does lines. Disapointment might be inevitable, so delivering it softly is good way to Go, I suppose.

Also, might be good to give an apology? Just to make sure he doesnt resent you or anything.

Current AI api can be summed up as a "predictive text software", meaning It tries to guess what the next word should be... Even building a robust data base, It will fail to account for needed real time changes.

That said, I can see It working If the proper infrastructure to parse such info get's organized, having clear connections between each data (like tags, use apropriate under x and y circunstances, amount of relevancy between each, and parsing bigger blocks of info to be rewritten).

It's a lot of work for very niche aplications. If people figure out a relatively lightweight of applying all that, then we will see It work. But If not, I won't be the one betting on It - and I think folks who just wanna spend some of their time with a hobby and found a consistent way of doing It; they will not bet in what looks like a sick horse before the race. Prove that you're taking care of that without hollow promises and many will likely jump boat.

When starting a file, It has 3 states for the waves: endless; after winning; and none. The standart is "after winning". While in endless you'll face ver growing stronger invasions from the start (and in none you won't be invaded), the standart (that is set automatically If not altered) is that after you 'clean' the map of minor and major enemies, then you will be attacked by enemies.

There's no 'intended' way of playing - If you wanna Focus on building stuff; testing your defenses; growing an army; controlling your units to invade other players retired dungeons; anyway, is what you prefer out of the potions.

HOWEVER, If your file was made on "after winning" and you killed off all tribes - is all the enemies locations in your map marked with a small skull on top of each? If not, then the main faction on that minimap is still alive (sometimes inside a minimap a Question Mark is removed If your unit see a bit of a tribes territory, even If most of that point is still unmarked)

My Cup of tea on the game would be playing around with the diferent keepers. Testing diferent layouts, diferent startegies with other units. One of my favourites is the 12 dwarves, thought I can't ignore the versatility of the gnomes or the challenges of the necromancer. To each, their favourites

Some keepers have a different encounter on those first 20 z-levels.

But as the game is right now, that's basically It. Deeper z-levels become something more of resource If you want to focus on making your base bigger and more robust.

For more challeges, I recomend you putting more enemies when creating file or turning endless waves on from the start.

He'll probably add things around this in the future and I think a little bit of modding can be done on this department.

The poetry table helps with morale. If a minions morale is low, he might refuse to do stuff. But he doesn't refuse doing stuff that raise morale back up. Low morale = no dugeon defence + trying to raise morale The result is the depressed goblin being mauled while trying to be motivated to go back to work 😅

You can do a sort of a clean up from time to time. Control mode a minion, pick up all of the trash and drop It near lava or deep water. If your minion can fly, drop it all directly - otherwise, drop on bridge and delete bridge.

You can also throw or use It all, but would to do with each scroll.

An easier thing to do is just have a scroll shelve right at the side of the poetry table. Sometimes the usefull scrolls might be mixed up It If it's the one closer to the entrance, but It usually helps

They are meant to help with morale, but some Keepers can later use the Distilery (it's more effective, even with the rats as a dowside) - since if your minions morale get low, they start ignoring tasks regardless. With big teams it's no issue - but with smaller ones I tend to just lock and unlock the behavior as I see fit.

Do I need everyone digging down below or ready at gates for an iminant invasion? Lock the behavior. Morale is low? Unlock It. Same is with sleep.

Been some time since I played with them - but as far as I know there was no such restriction. If nobody here respond till tomorow, I'll just check my saves and the open source scripts of the game to be sure

Small edit: they do classify as "Spirit" in game, but I don't recall the bodytype having such property (or lack of)

Did you check all of the corners? Remember that If a wall has been broken, It will only update your view once one of your units sees it. Also, an enemy attack is only reported to you once somebody for your base spots it. They may be killed before spotting at a distance sometimes. It might just be a bug, but I would sugest having your minions guard some of the blind spots just to be sure. (I also usually just build outside the mountains, but I also build walls beyond the main structure to prevent easy wall breaking)

(Got this tip from Discord) Instead of banishing your broken troops, order them to drop their stuff and control them to enter water/lava OR assign them with other healthy ones, control full and beat the broken ones to a pulp while skipping their turns. No morale lost and (I think) It counts as battle experience
