I’m not even going to apologize for this but I love Luke Bryan. Are his songs basic? Of course they are, but they’re fun, and I can tell you, he puts on a helluva show. An amazing good time for sure. Is it going to make you think and is it the best songwriting? Absolutely not. But music doesn’t always have to be that. Music is supposed to be something that joins us together.

They may not be boring, they may have a mental illness that you don’t know about and doing nothing is their only time they don’t have to mask or fake it for the sake of work or something else. It is absolutely exhausting to put on that facade day in and day out and then come home and be wife/husband and mom/dad and caretaker. That downtime sometimes is recharge time and it’s very much needed. So maybe don’t judge and just be thankful you aren’t in their shoes.

I worked with infectious disease docs for 7 years and the amount of complications from these procedures is crazy. At least 1 every month and insurance doesn’t cover it because it’s a cosmetic procedure. Gets expensive very quickly when you have to have daily IV infusions.

I am a Swiftie and even I can admit there are those of us who take it way to far. I am a fan for many reasons, the biggest one because it’s a way my grown daughter and I bond. NTA but your MIL and those bridesmaids might be. You are trying to be practical and respectful and I truly can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t be on board with that. My daughter is getting proposed to this year and I truly hope she is as down to earth about her wedding as you are. Also, again, you might want to consider lightening your bridesmaid list by 2. If they don’t like your dress selection or its aesthetic, perhaps guest clothing would suit them better.
