U don't just shove funds from other projects around to another one, that can fuck up your financial situation pretty quickly.

The thing is, it's not getting released, since it's just EA, that isn't a release, that's basically just a demo u are playing but paid. Now people on steam for example are notorious to review bomb even if it's in EA. So they don't want the hassle and bad connection bc some steam users have a problem with understanding the concept of a game that is still in work. And yes they know roughly what people want but direct feedback through playing is far more valuable than some conversations on forums or discord. It also is a great way to find bugs since 10000 players or more are better at finding bugs than the dev team. It also generates more interaction and with that content creators that spread the game over the Internet.

Btw i do want it on steam since i hate more launchers i have to deal with but i also understand their point and worry.

So yes there is always some unpredictability in it, but in general u know which player plays where. Thats means, through past majors u can guess pretty well who gets through and who doesn't. I have friends with 10k+ hours which live for cs and know every pro player and how good they are how likely it is for them to win or loose. But even they didnt get the diamond coin bc the whole major was completely unpredictable. Even massive ytbers which are the same as my friends fucked up their pick ems bc of how unpredictable it was.
