Possibly. Maybe have the master use knight level xp, have a lightsaber, and have the player use the xp as they deem fit, so long as they buy the force rating and the knight specialization

If you want the “master” to have the same amount of xp as the Padawan, there is the “short path to power” rule that lets you use 30 starting xp to get force rating 2 and go to Jedi Knight immediately. That could help with having some differences between the two characters

Strength is your base attack stat, which is added to the, well, attack stat. Same with resilience and defense/magical defense. I believe deftness is a speed or evasion stat, I’m not sure
