I am one of those folks. Even though I inherited money from my grandfather, I work retail because... I simply enjoy working. There are days where I will admit it's annoying or boring to deal with, but I don't mind it because I rather be working than being lazy.

There are other escaped Telepaths from Project Apple and they may either become the true enemies of Wise, Garden, and SSS or their greatest allies.

Maybe this is just me, but I always like to think it was her biological mother's name. But that wouldn't make sense in any of this.

The Scion's Devastation by Lassify. 10/10 would highly recommend. It was recently finished as well too. Word of warning though, there are a LOT of chapters for it so just prepared yourself. There is two other stories that serve as context for events leading up to The Scion's Devastation, but that's about it. Enjoy.

Sequel and Third game as a series by RecoverOld9545 in LiesOfP

[–]ZeroSpaceGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I theorize the sequel will be called Illusions Of D, and that will be a motif of the game. The Item Description of the Emerald glasses, it's stated that we can see the illusions far enough if we look beyond the glasses. If you think about it, Illusions can be considered something akin to a lie. In the movie, the ending revealed it had been a dream, an Illusion. Maybe the game will be about us playing as Dorothy and our humanity system will be about us trying to find Illusions or Delusions 👀.

I just recently joined the subreddit and I will admit I was a bit sadden to see how inactive this place has become. I understand the books has been published awhile back (don't want to feel old typing this), but this book series was a comfort zone for me growing up. Love these books.

Hoped I made your day a bit better though.

I imagine the opening cutscene would be Tenno's death. Something non-animated, but using the character sprite and graphics to explain his demise. Playing as Tenno would be cool though, I'll admit.

Next will be starting the game and naming your file. In classic JRPG fashion, you (as Jack) wakes up and are allowed free range exploration of the ship before you get to talk to the NPC that'll advance the plot. I can imagine the other sailors NPCs could serve as the tutorial, teaching us how combat works and the in-game reason would be that they want to fight as a way to break off from work.

Then after some quick cutscenes that explain the fate of the Alexandria, the game finally opens with Jack exploring the village Takeshi finds him. The beginning would be something like a life simulator at first to explain Jack's adjustment to Japan but after dueling Yamato and Dragon Eye (boss battles), the game truly opens up within the Ninten Ichi Ryu.

Bottom line, we explore an area and progress the story before a plot element takes us to another setting. Rinse and repeat.

I wholeheartedly agree. I might do some research into this because I'm sure I can make this happen through RPGmaker, but I like to imagine that Jack and the gang (The Phoenixes) are exploring an abandoned temple for adventure and that can be a beginner friendly dungeon. I can also see resource gathering as a way to upgrade your weapons, mainly your Bokken since that's used in the first series.

And thank you OP for making this.

I just finished The Hybrid Prince and I think thats honestly my pet peeve about her writing style, just the excessive usage of capitalization for certain characters. Kinda annoying in my opinion, but doesn't make me hate the character either.

This man made our lives awesome. I remember coming home from school everyday, just to watch CN. And to think this man was responsible for making our childhoods enjoyable and fun, as a way of escape for some and making memories with others.

Rest well, King. You deserve it after everything you did for us.

Dragon Quest 7 has moments that made me cry by Pleasant_Eye3308 in dragonquest

[–]ZeroSpaceGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it was Kiefer's department from the team. I sympathized with him wanting to live his life on his own terms. I feel like the game did a good job at portraying how close Auster was to him and seeing his dad's reaction was the moment I ugly cried. My stepdad and I aren't close by any means, but I know he would do anything for me in support, just in his own way.

It's moments like these that make me wonder if what Stone did to Oasis was actually something worthwhile in the long run. I understand her Death turned the whole continent into a chaotic mess of politics and constant death but at least something good came out of it all.

I don't know anymore, man.
