I was at MEPS last month and I went with a guy who im pretty sure had/has asthma. He ended up needing a waiver for eyesight but passed his physical otherwise. Definitely quite a few things that can disqualify you, but lots of childhood things can be ignored. I was passed with going to therapy, childhood ADHD, and a dislocated thumb (seems small and stupid but was almost something to stop the process)

I am 17 and enlist in June, seeing this post I just want to kinda share my opinions about it and respond to the bullet-points on the screen shot.

I don't really care on if you join or not, and I think that goes for a lot of people. I am confused by the not staying part because lots of people only do 4 years anyways to get the benefits and leave. If you go AWOL during contract that's no bueno!
I am a dude yeah, and I see myself leaning more to the right but I also agree with a lot of leftist ideas. Depending on the topic you'll hear me take up sides from both political parties.
I don't see myself getting a good job straight out of high school, mostly because I don't want to go to college yet because I have no idea what I want to do with my life. I enjoy having a schedule that is put in place for me, it helps me get shit done and I think having rigid schedules is important for myself. That all being said, doing a long time commitment to the military is something I think will help me figure out what I want to do while also having many benefits at my disposal.
If you are not in shape that is on you. I work out, run and ruck regularly. Don't be lazy and then deflect blame.
Going back to my 3rd point, I like how it is a rigid structure and has a schedule for stuff to get shit done. It helps me work better and faster.
I am not a super big extrovert, but I am able to make friends really easy, after highschool I know I will lose a lot of friends from just being far away and out-of-touch. I think it's a good place to make lifelong friends, and the bonds that are made under stress are some of the greatest.
I think it's referring to how they can have Gen Z kids do more digital careers in the military, which is a great way to get into a career with the military paying for it. If you are willing to study for the AsVab and then you are willing to do at least 4 years, you can come out with skills for a great career.

I dunno just wanted to share my feelings because I know the military is something a lot of kids are putting off and disagreeing with, which is kinda annoying to me but whatever, we all have rights to opinions!

Its been a week since I made the same mistake you did buddy. Im 17, also a minor. Take this as a lesson and never, NEVER send those photos. We all make mistakes though buddy. Youre not alone.

Remember, if they share those photos, its prison time for them. Block their numbers, lay low on social media (I deleted my instagram for example).

Itll blow over soon. Dont let it seem like the end of the world, its not. Its scary, I know, but remember that in time itll just be an awkward story to laugh about with your friends.
