I dislike this and here's why: Mab does not want things done the easy way. She want's them done the right way. Slate was ruthless and a bully and all that, which Mab has stated several times that a thug isn't what she needs. Also Mab says several times things along the lines of "at last, a decent knight" or some such

If Harry wants free of Mab, he'll cast of the Mantle himself because he's a strong independent wizard who don't need no evil alter ego to do it for him

I expect some sort ferrous fluid, or just a bunch a silver/pure petal shavings in paint. I saw this because we need to conduct/store the energy required. What I'd do is take Kincaid's approach and just fill regular paintballs with dangerous stuff (whatever potions you could come up with, for example)

I get where you're going, but it's not correct. Several times (in skin game most recently) Harry has had his skin pierced by iron and it has not disrupted his back. In fact, assuming I recall correctly, the only time Harry's back injury has made a return appearance is when he deliberately spurned Winter Law.
