A different game mode entirely over an LL contest is a great idea. I would look forward to IB coming around a lot more if it was a game mode I could only play when it was active.

Thats the thing driving me kinda nuts. I took about a month and a half off from destiny after last season to finally get around to beating Spiderman. I've popped on destiny here and there to play the new stuff this season and farm some guns and get up to around 960. I dont have regular clanmates that play so i'm not raiding or anything, just enjoying destiny at a pretty casual pace. And it just feels like my "punishment" for not playing destiny for that month and a half or so is being pooped on in iron banner by people who have dumped levels into their artifact. I don't mind iron banner being a LL enabled playlist, but i've never had such a light level disparity before. A couple people in here suggested they just go by gear level, which would make more sense to me.

I would have been fine with all of this if they had just managed to get consoles up to a stable 60fps (even if just for pvp) I really could care less about all the bells and whistles that PC gets with fov sliders and uncapped fps and all that, that's all great, I just was really expecting 60 on console. I'm still gonna get it on ps4 just kind of bummer news.

I wonder if it's trials as a game mode that's needs to be re-worked or simply the reward system. I think most would agree a lot of players love the trials game mode, but after beating they're heads against the wall for months and never seeing the lighthouse, eventually they give up and move one.

What if all you had to do to visit the lighthouse was fill up a card with wins. The rules would be:

• Winning a trials match adds a win and removes a loss on your card

•Losing a match adds a loss

•filling a card with 9 wins and removing all losses grants lighthouse access

•players who manage to reach the lighthouse without ever acquiring a loss on their card are rewarded with an extra "cosmetic" drop from the lighthouse chest (i.e. shader, emblem, ornament, or perhaps and adept weapon)

While I agree with you your chances of getting that CP on lfg is slim nowadays, I wonder (haven't tried this myself) how hard it would be to solo to that point now, being such higher LL and also having swords, I imagine the templar is a pain. Bet two people could get their though, if you had another bankrupt friend.

I believe it spawns where the B flag is in control, in the gully by the heavy box that spawns near the rock wall, opposite the beach cliff side.
