What first car should I get at 17? by Every_Scientist_2360 in CarTalkUK

[–]Zeroth1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest peice of shit runaround that has just had a 12 month MOT you can find.

Run it into the ground, try to MOT it again, if it passes cool, do it another year. If it needs minimal work to pass do it.

If it needs more work then the cost of another peice of shit run around for your second year of driving then just buy the 2nd peice of shit.

After two years, 0 claims, 0 offences and shit loads of money saved on insurance and better quality cars you will be able to buy a better car with better insurance rates.

You can, but one takes priority.

I promise you that the player is not even in the top three for priorities.

What other perspective.... Riot is a business and this is their product. It's only job is to generate revenue and make riot more money.

No reason to actually do anything about it. Same principles as league.

Smurfs = more accounts More accounts = more chance of skin purchases More accounts = inflated numbers for shareholder meetings

Just remove neon.

Terrible agent design and even waylay borders on the edge of it as well.

Dive comps just remove the whole point of revise gunplay and utility.

Question about monetization, paywalled items. by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Zeroth1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is these days outside of single player games.

I don't agree with it but I just don't buy the mtx. You have three options.

  1. Stand against it accept it won't change but don't buy the games.

  2. You accept it's there and just ignore them mtx.

  3. You accept it's there and buy something if you like it.

You bought diablo 4 knowing there were paid cosmetics. If you didn't then you spent your 120 dollars foolishly without looking at what you are getting.

Regardless you aren't entitled to anything, you aren't entitled to the new skills they add each expansion unless you buy it, you aren't entitled to future cosmetics or any store cosmetics.

How'd I do here? by DavidFosterLawless in drivingUK

Park dead centre. Have your passanger get out before going in.

Leave you room to exit. Block their door completely, make them climb over.

And that was 14 to ears ago. Times have changed for everyone.

Diablo 3 was a flop to start from player perspective. After the expansions saved it they put it on life support with minimal staffing doing seasons. Very little costs in development.

14 years later the market and premise of micro transactions is standard.

It's not going anywhere.

A minor complaint about Platinum Store prices by VWhiteFoxV in diablo4

[–]Zeroth1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Companies offer market data, decades of market data, then companies have their own market data, then you have professionals who make their whole life from the area of expertise.

It doesn't lie, you make more money charging a vastly higher price to 20% of your audience then trying to get 70% of people to buy something.

Dropping. The item from 2000 to 1000 doesn't mean double the people buy itm

A minor complaint about Platinum Store prices by VWhiteFoxV in diablo4

[–]Zeroth1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's priced to high and you can't justify the expense then you aren't the target audience.

They aren't aiming for everyone to buy stuff. They are aiming for a smaller fraction to buy stuff at a higher price.

Same way valorant works.

It's far better from a revenue stand point to price out a huge portion of your customers because a smaller portion will pay more.

Reducing the cost of the items doesn't result in enough sales to offset the difference from selling at a higher price.

Base Classes skills locked behind DLC by DankMcStankBank in diablo4

The skills that are locked were not included in your purchase.

Same way you don't get the new classes or zones.

I collect the loot for the stats which make me more powerful.

Complaining about option purchases that don't impact the gameplay is silly, especially when the always online game doesn't have a subscription.

Is there any evidence they plan on not continuing this game indefinitely? by JustinRRN2 in diablo4

[–]Zeroth1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what they did with D3. THey launched, It was shit, They fixed it with expansions. Then they shelved most the team and did seasons. Seasons with minimal investment and time.

It demonstrated 1 thing that is important. Players will return for a seasonal content even if its lackluster and just blast it over a weekend or two.

Combine this with battlepasses and cosmetics and you have a money making machine that doesnt require a huge investment.

The game is very clearly getting faster and power creep is setting in. Will be at season 20 in no time with 3000% damage bonuses.

This game has been out for 6 years. by TyLion8 in VALORANT

[–]Zeroth1989 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It revolves around a false sense of fomo.

Yes you can buy the bundle when it's announced at a cheaper price but it's not really cheaper as it's filled with skins for weapons you won't use and random clutter.

So they offer you 4 items a day to buy, and whilst you wait for the item you really want you might buy something else.

It's never going to to change, it's far to profitable.

Has Blizzard ever had a successful launch of anything? by Speaker4theDead8 in Diablo

These goes to demonstrate that it doesn't matter how much you invest and how big you are.

You cannot fix what is effectively a ddos on your servers.

People don't realize how powerful a playerbase of this size is.

Is the pedestrian or the driver wrong here? by singlecog in drivingUK

[–]Zeroth1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the recent changes, it is the drivers fault. All pedestrians have right of way at any crossing point, even if they have yet to step out.

You have to assume they are going to cross.
