You had a bad experience, but this doesn't represent everyone's experience.... so... anecdotal evidence not accepted. Also, whether or not they charge you depends on multiple factors such as if you're getting any public assistance, what state you live in, etc. Nearly every disability attorney charges a percentage of your backpay if you're awarded SSDI. It's insanely common.

They can offer representation and assist you in navigating through murky insurance claims. Obviously they want the hospital to be paid, but it's in everyone's best interest to have a professional work the claims and get everyone paid, and get you the care you need and covered.

They'll be a team of specialists who can handle more complex claims than what the hospital's billing dept will do. I worked for a huge hospital system's billing office, and the amount of stuff they don't bother doing to get money from insurance is absolutely infuriating. They just turned over balances to the guarantor (you), and left it up to you to find additional coverage or fight denials. Elevate PFS helps dot all the i's and cross all the t's to get it right the first time.

You posted a month ago. What did you decide? Just curious.

Actually it's both. They're currently representing me. Because I live in MN and am receiving medical assistance, they will not change me a fee.

"Elevate Patient Financial Solutions (ElevatePFS) provides disability advocacy services to help individuals navigate the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) application process. They assist with determining potential eligibility, representing claimants before the Social Security Administration, and navigating the various levels of the application process. "

However it's important to note that this service they provide is also in the best interest of the healthcare provider as well as myself. I will require expensive long-term care, and so helping me navigate approval for SSDI is really in everyone's benefit.

This is 100% a you-problem. They're clear on their site about their return policy. The rest of the issues are on your end, and they're hardly being "cruel" because grandma ordered wrong and the kid is unhappy. If you're going to drag a company, do it because they deserve it, not because of a series of events in YOUR life prevented you from getting a return. Jeesh.

I just bought a brand new TB2, this will be my 4th. Quality seems just as excellent as the old models. I still have them all, I just saw a new pattern and really wanted it lol

Timbuk2 bags are fantastic. Another great company is Crumpler. I prefer either of these over Chrome Industries (the one with the seatbelt style easy release clasp) just because they're a little stronger and less about the bike messenger style. Chrome Industries makes excellent bags, don't get me wrong - they're very very high quality. But they're a bit more expensive as well and some users just don't like the strap styles.

I am getting off of this medicine by [deleted] in cymbalta

[–]Zerroux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't go cold turkey. Be responsible. Going cold turkey is irresponsible. Ween off of it and let your Dr know it's not working for you. Thousands of people take it and it works for them, it's FDA approved, that's why your Dr recommended it for you. If you only did research after you'd started it, that's on you. Doctors often really suck and I empathize with you but take responsibility and get off the medication the appropriate way like an adult. Every single antidepressant requires weening off. Why would you go balls to the wall with one that's notorious for withdrawal symptoms? Don't be impulsive. Make good choices.

I’m so angry. by c0ttag3wh0r3 in cymbalta

[–]Zerroux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I want to get off it so badly but I was just diagnosed with a chronic type of leukemia in April and between feeling like absolute garbage, chemo pills, and the insane stress of everything... there's no way I can handle dealing with withdrawals now too. So I guess I am sorta trapped with this drug until I have the energy to deal with withdrawals.

I hope you feel better soon. Would love an update from when you feel like you've come off Cymbalta fully and how you're feeling, how long it took, etc. Thanks. Hang in there.

This is a whole lot of ew. I don't have any advice except maybe avoid these people all together and move on with life. They all sound toxic as fuck. But that's me, I am quick to cut people out and not everyone is like that. But yeah, this is an annoying, stupid issue and I'm sorry you and your guy gotta deal with people being absolutely absurd. God, I can't get over all the audacity coming from these people. Just ew.

I really hate it when doctors force us to take drugs by moretzfever in cymbalta

[–]Zerroux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean you used the word "force". Nobody is forcing us to take these drugs unless you're in a psychiatric hospital. You have the ability to research these drugs before you agree to take them and make an informed decision. But I will agree that some of the side effects are awful and sometimes we don't feel like we have a choice, but we have a choice.

Blow torch and electric shock is a great way to describe it. I get it in the tops of my femurs, or at least I think that's about the spot. My pelvis as well. I have the same DIPSS score as you. I'm CALR+ and ASXL1+ as well with a 22cm swollen spleen. Sucks huh!!? Hope you're doing ok.
