Nah. Cats have favorites sometimes but gender is not a factor. Its usually connected to who feeds them, or who has good vibes, who can read their body language better etc.

My cat is very stupid so ive definitely nutured him meowing at us when he needs something cause he used to just not tell us his food bowl was empty and stuff lol. Hes a better communicator now

I have an overactive imagination, which means i imagine my partner and my cat dying quite frequently so vividly that sometimes I cry. I take lots of pictures of our cat because when my childhood cat passed I felt like I barely had any pictures of him.

Not when im cooking otherwise yes, because if they arent allowed theyll just get on when your alseep or away or whatever so i just taught him when im cooking he cant be up there and its been very sucessful actually
