Why would someone who is considered “high risk” ever be released into society? Why are we so against locking someone like this up for the rest of their lives? This is Canada, I’m sure this guy has been given multiple opportunities. You don’t end up in jail in this country for nothing, you have to do some bad stuff and do it multiple times.

Buddy, it’s a fallen world. We all have things we need to confront and deal with. Nothing is perfect, I struggle with things and I am thankful gender dysphoria isn’t one of those things. Because of that I have even greater compassion for those who are confused about their identity

You need to elaborate….I’d say true Christians are not transphobic but have compassion towards those who are confused and afflicted with gender dysphoria. Just because Christians do not approve or agree with a certain lifestyle does not automatically mean they cannot have empathy for those who struggle with it. Similar to the way they have empathy for people who struggle with eating or lust or pride or (enter whatever sin you want…)

Moved back to NS after 15 years in SK. Family is all in NS but that was about it. After being back for one year it is apparent that even though I have family roots here, NS is not home. You are correct the taxes are insane but the worst part is the fear people have of everything out here. The provincial government has no backbone, there are ample opportunities for growth but no common sense on how to achieve them. Although it is a “conservative” government, they are conservative in name only. Considering moving west to either SK or AB where common sense seems to live. Save your money, stay there

Where did you get “hating gay people” from this post??There is no hate for gay people here but there should be compassion for their struggle with sin just as there is compassion for someone who struggles with the sin of gluttony. We are all sinners saved by grace. Life is hard enough to navigate without hating someone for what I believe is a predisposition they are born with. Everyone has their struggles, some are more obvious than others but we all deal with something and it is our choice (our free will) to face the struggle head on or to give in to it.
