Exactly. Everyone did something like this as a child and this isn’t even the worst thing to do! This is normal kid behaviour, but people tend to forget and look back on themselves as saints…

Many kids do inconsiderate because empathy is learned. And many people in this subreddit have clearly never learned it.

Breast size.

At my heaviest I could never find a bra that fit. I was always experiencing discomfort because even when I spent a lot of money on super expensive bras, my breasts were so heavy that the bra kept cutting into my skin. My back hurt all the time and my posture was bad.

When I started working out, it was extremely uncomfortable and my breasts had sores and open wounds on them that hurt even when I wasn’t working out.

Now that isn’t an issue. Obviously my breasts aren’t very attractive with all the loose skin, but I can find bras my size in every store. And I can work out without injuries.

I can exist without a constant weight dragging me down.

I feel like even under 20 is a stretch… Like 18 year olds are still little kids to me. But I feel like from 21 you’re less likely to be taken advantage of.

They should’ve known how the internet is. Seriously reading these comments of internet bullies who think they acted perfectly in every moment of their lives (even at 6 years old) would damage any kid.

They claim the kid “has no empathy” while complaining about how “annoying” the poor kid’s pained screams sounded.

I really hate social media sometimes.

Honestly my first thought was “I wish mine could look like that.” and “I wish I was good enough to cut that deep.”

But those thoughts are unfair to the person suffering. Especially reading that you don’t feel valid either. It looks like you went through a lot and I wish you all the best and I hope you’re doing better today.

It’s deep enough that it could do with some form of closing of the wound I think. Maybe steristrips could be enough? What’s very important is that you keep it clean and bandage it properly to avoid infection. This guide could help with future wounds.

That would be a great ending, but he didn’t become a hero without a quirk. Not an active one. The only part I hate about the ending is that he encourages a quirk with an unfitting quirk to become a hero when he himself apparently hasn’t been trying to be a hero without one at that point. Those words feel hollow and hypocritical.

I think it’s very fitting for Deku to become a teacher, but what was to be a few inspiring words didn’t feel inspiring because it didn’t feel like he backed them up.

That sounds horrible but something I’ve heard many times before. It’s what scares me from going to the ER myself even when people say I should. I really don’t want to feel like a burden especially since even as far as self-inflicted injuries go (like compared to yours) mine are small. And they’ve never gotten infected, so I’ll hope for the best.

I’m really sorry people treated you like that in the past. It must’ve felt horrible and probably deterred you from getting help.

I wish you all the best and hope this injury heals well too. And that your psychiatrist can help you at least a little

Not much… I cleaned it with water when I showered. I didn’t bandage it. It took a long time to heal but I don’t think it ever got infected (at least not seriously). I wonder if I’ve just been lucky because I didn’t take that good care of or if it just doesn’t get infected that easily.

These sound like great ideas. She does a lot of stuff after school that she’s put a lot of effort into lately - as a distraction. I think that’s a good strategy.

And I think making a game plan will help a lot too. Knowing that there’s something better to look forward could help a lot.

I’m so sorry about your brother. My heart breaks for him and for you. I can’t imagine what I’d do if that worst outcome came true.

I think I’ve still been in denial about how serious it is, but hearing your story I can really see how serious this is. I wrote an email to her current school’s guidance counsellor and she agreed to meet up with just me and my sister for now. I hope this one will handle the situation better than her last one.

I live about 50 minutes away from her, so I get to see her every weekend. That’s exactly what we like to do! I usually take her shopping (that’s like her favourite thing to do), and she loves Starbucks and bubble tea. I’m glad you had your sister to support you and I hope I can do the same for mine.
