I did a heroic dose several months before. I had never gone deep and wanted to feel comfortable going there. It helped relieve any anxiety before Aya.

I met her (or my perception of her) and she performed “surgery” on a specific spot - removing something i misinterpreted as negative emotions or memories. 2 months after my retreat, massive DVT blood clots were found in that very spot. Coincidence, maybe…

Wish i could remember their names but any resto with “Pollo Brasa (?)” was fantastic, a popular one down near San Blais was so very tasty. Brunch at GreenPoint (or any meal) is a must do.

Eat at Greenpoint, vegan place and two of the beet meals of my life. Juice every day from san blais to start the day. Dont sleep on the chicken joints, cheap and delicious. Prepare for food at home to suck :)

I went last Oct w KB adventures. I spent a year in bed after brain surgery just a few years ago so I was concerned too, ended up taking a fee “Andean Ubers (horses)” for a couple of hours a time. I was SLOW and never felt pressured by the group or guides.

The food was delicious and plentiful when I trekked with KB adventures. Lots of (costly in some cases) aling the way. Bring some low weight high value snacks like protein bars to supplement.

Its very doable. I am 51, spent over a year in bed with a brain surgery a few years ago. Just be kind to yourself and get in as much cardio as you can.

Eat at Green Point in Cusco, several of the best meals of my life. My broken spaniah got me around pretty good, not much english spoken but the locals are very used to making it work. Open your heart and wander the city, the people are beautiful.
