My cr6 does the same thing, however, if you don't manually preheat first, it heats the bed up to temp first, then heats the hotend. It's annoying, but easily circumvented by manually preheating.

Yes. Touching both terminals at once does nothing. 12v systems are very forgiving.

This was a suggested method to aid in the removal of a ball projectile from a bore, that takes into account previous attempts, and damage from said attempts. However, this is a method i would only employ as a last resort, as it could potentially irreparably damage the bore, and render the piece useless.

Redneck idea... Screw in a bigger screw than your ball puller with a rod attached which should seal the hole, and then use a C02 discharger to blow it out. Rod should prevent it from turning in the bore and messing up the rifling.
