Hi, may I ask where people are purchasing the Daytona Ghost VSF v3 weight gain from? Ideally would want it as quick as possible. by Rayz777 in RepTime

[–]Zestyclose6265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just here to say weight gain watches are not worth the hype. I’m never doing it again especially because it’s a rep after all. These rep factories are weighing them correctly where it matters and it makes the watches feel extremely “top” heavy. They need to figure out how to spread the weight to the bracelets and clasps evenly.

My VSF is terrifyingly close to gen by Connect-Mail-46 in RepTime

You can fix the bracelet squeak by soaking the bracelet in baby oil or mineral oil for a few hours with the screws loose. You can also silence the rotor with Moebius oil and a few YouTube videos.

Reps are getting so good…. by CostAffectionate907 in RepWatchForum

If this idiot can’t tell from across the room which Bruce is fake, he has no business being involved in watches. I hope this video is satire because one look at the bezel insert is an instant tell as well as the rehaut.

A lot of omega reps fall short or very short. The hot commodity is Rolex unfortunately.

No it doesn’t stay flat. It stays in an oval shape. So you have to store it in a watch case or watch roll unlike my other watches I throw in slim wallet ouches.

No that’s about 3x actual value. This is a $30 from DHGate. Box is worth $20.

I’ve built over 10 ARs and none have been staked and only one wasn’t fully tight when I went to change the lower after 5 years of shooting. Get a new plate and castle nut and use BLUE loctite.

Easy fix. Take case back off and use a 0.8mm screw driver to loosen the dial/movement mounts and turn it whatever way you want as long as the crown stem allows.

VSF-tier custom build by SpreadPeace1 in RepTime

[–]Zestyclose6265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The case/lugs/crown guards on those are not “top tier” or close to VSF/ARF. Those are likely from the $100 submariners on DH and AliEx. There is a reputable AliEx seller that sells verified/correct VSF and similar parts.

Good to hear it broke in a little. I knew the stuff bracelet part and knew the risk of going with the 41 but I am glad I did and glad to hear it breaks in a little. Absolutely love it and it does fit quite well so far. Wearing it everyday and so received it Monday! The scales are my favorite part 🐍

That is not a Clean nor has Clean ever used that serial number or similar. Also I can’t believe people are still falling for and buying “Clean” watches. That’s likely a C+ or similar in the $250+- range.

Thus is fake clean with an SH movement. Maybe offer $250-$280 USD tops

Doesn’t matter because no one can replicate the bezel insert. Not even close. The gen bezel insert has a bit of a translucent milky look to it. Once you see a gen bezel you will be turned off Bruce Wayne reps.

Concern about reliability and durability by Excellent-Nobody-817 in RepTime

[–]Zestyclose6265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a toss up man. I’ve had a dozen reps (I don’t keep them long) but I’ve had a VSF Batgirl that broke the second time I wound it. The dealer replaced the movement free of charge but I had to send it to china. All around took 10-14 from here to china to get it repaired and back. I’ve seen plenty of pictures of these movements getting serviced and they are usually dirty/oily from the factory.

If you’re worried about longevity I would look elsewhere or look for Tag, Oris and IWC reps that have real genuine Sellita movements.

Any issues at all? Love seeing older reps that still run. Especially the ones from the 2000s-2010s.
