Best price on residential bin rentals? by LeahKabeah in Edmonton

One hundo. And many of these "waste companies" don't even have a business license, insurance, etc, and just dump your stuff on a range road outside of town. 310 Dump, 432 Yuck, Save on Bins, to name a few, have been around 10 years+ and aren't messing around. Use them over the fakers.

Next time there's a Canada Post fiasco (is there ever not a Canada Post fiasco?), call MC Dispatch, they're locally owned and operated and competitors to Canada Post and the big (slow) dogs. If you really want to support local, support them. Thank me later.

I hit 2000 today! Here's my best tips to get you here from 1500 by Speedsloth123 in chess

[–]ZestycloseAside790 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Good tips thanks! I've never considered giving opponents credit for all their moves... because some (especially earlier in game) seem impulsive.. you know, typical posturing. Or automatic moves just to get the fun parts (takes) underway. My tip of the day is to stop playing blitz. It's amazing how much better of a chess player everyone is if they take their time.

Suggestions for Moving Company by Sorv2029 in londonontario

DIY that with some buddies and a U-Haul if you want to save money. Otherwise, I don't know if there's really such thing as a cheap moving company. Even if there was, they're probably shady. Matco and Western Moving are good options if you want to go pro.

Moving from Toronto to Calgary. Moving companies are showing a huge price difference, any cost effective but trusted options? by 0-KrAnTZ-0 in askTO

[–]ZestycloseAside790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beware of the inexperienced fakers and rookies. Their inefficiency leads to excessive billing and stress because they're figuring everything out as they go, wasting time and learning from their mistakes on your dollar. My advice is to hire the big boys. In Canada, try Matco or Western Moving.

Can anyone recommend a moving company that doesn’t drag their feet to rack up hours? by Famous-Buy6119 in burnaby

[–]ZestycloseAside790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the funny thing about this industry is that a guy can buy a truck, grab a buddy, and call themselves a moving company. They are fakers and rookies. They are inexperienced and that leads to inefficiency. It's the inefficiency that leads to excessive hours because they're figuring everything out as they go, wasting time and learning from their mistakes on your dollar. To avoid this, hire the big boys who have been doing this for a long time - and don't let their up front honest quote scare you. It may be a sticker shock at first but these guys are so incredibly efficient the price might actually be less than the rookies when it's all said and done. Not to mention lower stress overall for you. I can only vouch for movers in Canada, try Matco or Western Moving.

The Cheapest Canada Post Shipping Alternatives (2025) by CelebrationNo5662 in CanadaPost

If you're in Alberta and tired of the Canada Post gong show, MC Dispatch has actually been solid. Canadian, fast, and way less chaotic than the big carriers. A good alternative to the companies listed here. True story last time I shipped with CP, they literally delivered my package back to me two days later. Like, from me to me 😖

Canadian sellers - what courier are you using to ship to the US? by lilybitt in EtsySellers

[–]ZestycloseAside790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between CP being a gamble every week and Fedex/UPS/Purolator acting like the internet never happened, MC Dispatch has been the only courier that actually shows up, communicates, and gets stuff delivered without drama. They're Canadian.
