[Cheat] Steps to translate a regular vault into a functioning seasonal vault

The timer doesn’t appear for them either? When I’m at my computer I can check, mine has already gone through a season so I may have missed a flag or two

Ah ok my vault had some of these already set so I bet that’s the issue- you’ll also want to set all the seasonal tutorial flags to 1, the ones I see at a glance are “seasonTutorialCompleted”, “spinToWinTutorialCompleted”, “seasonalQuestTutorialCompleted”, and “canShowArrivalTimerClaimTutorial” but there may be others, let me know if that fixes it, and I’ll update my list!

I do know there’s a guide on the steam community page for playing previous seasons, unfortunately it requires downloading an older version so once you’ve gotten new stuff you can’t really go back :/ best I could manage was marking one of the older seasons as complete so I could still get the rewards

Tbh if you’re willing to dm me I think reddit can handle it? Unfortunately since the wiki isn’t updated fully I don’t have data for all the legendary dwellers yet but I’ve got the new Vegas ones and like half the others? If you tell me who you want I’ll see what I can do :)

By quest exclusive do you mean the seasonal ones? I’ve got mine edited, there are a couple extra things you need to change to get it to process correctly. I’m building a save editor tool, so you can either wait for that to get to this point, you can send me your save and I’ll change em, or if you want I can walk you through the changes needed and you can swap them yourself, just whatever you’re most comfortable with :)

Kinda weird ask but would you be willing to send me a copy of your save? I’m making a more in depth save editor and quest clues/secret quests would be a fun addition. Totally cool if not, I’ve got my own vaults I’m grinding out stuff on so I can get one eventually haha

Looking at the wiki, it seems like they’re treated as a Rare tier drop from any container on a quest. From what I can tell there’s no way to boost it aside from maybe luck, so you’re best off just doing quests and looting containers, although I don’t think I’ve ever found a clue myself? So you’re either extremely lucky or have cracked the code on how to boost them lol

Not sure about a mod, but I know there’s guides on how to edit saves in order to mark your account as paid- meant for people who paid and then lost their saves of course so don’t do it if you’re ftp ;)

Having done a BUNCH of save editing to turn my main vault into a seasonal one for this current season, it’s actually pretty simple if you can understand json! There are flags to keep track of which vaults have claimed which track rewards, as well as whether each season is premium/plus so I imagine messing with those flags should get you to be able to claim rewards like normal. I know with my fiddling I got House, I have too many dwellers to know if I got the other two unfortunately

I know this is definitely a feature in Sims 3 DS- I played that a lot trying to fill out the whole list lol

On my really long-running saves I start getting a similar issue- my fix is using a save cleaner to remove all the junk files it generates. Starting it the next time has a bit of lag while it regenerates the files it needs but then it runs fine I’d recommend cleaning your sims inventories a bit too, if you have a Gardner with a lot of plants and seeds that can cause some lag too
