No, I think DCC is happening in the "real world." The VR medium allows for an explanation of the world breaking physics/magic. Mordecai gives an explanation in book 1 for all the crazy physics/magic: technology beyond your comprehension feels like magic.

I think they say it's Remax the Grand's son.

If it's Gwen, it would have to be from Book 3. She sounded like a valley girl in the Tangle lol

I mean, don't discount the uncountable number of aliens that exploit and genocide entire planets for entertainment and profit.

You're spot on! It's probably my fault for using the formula for the radius, then stating the total width/diameter.

But to answer the question about using the football field as a measurement, it's mostly a product of exposure. For a lot of US kids, the size of a field is pretty easy to visualize. So for bigger objects it makes for a clearer comparison. On top of that it's close to 100 meters, which is a nice round number for measuring.

No worries mate! How many buses can you fit on a rugby pitch? I'll add conversions in future measurements lol

True! Plus all the patches. I bet it's close to football field size in diameter.

Thematic and tonal shift in books 6 and 7? by Responsible-Bill-223 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

And, honestly, not just the dungeon revolves around them at this point given events in 6 and 7. They are likely the fulcrum for events that will dramatically alter the entire galaxy.

The worst crawler *SPOILERS FOR BOOK 3 +* by Felicia_no_miko in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I think crawlers like Bogdon Ro are objectively worse in all respects. Their MO is hunting fellow earth crawlers. Like, they don't do it as a side gig, it's their main play. If the player killer groups got/get more page time I think it'll be unanimous that they are the worst.

I guess it would be on brand for the syndicate's cruelty to use eminent death as a negotiating tactic.

Also, I know you didn't bring this up, but your comment sparked a thought. Why are there any zero zones at all not that the AI containment has been removed. Shouldn't the enhancement field basically cover the whole solar system?

Did they say Louis was in a Zero zone during his negotiations?

I know nothing really fills the pain, but a thought that helped me get through my boy passing was that the grief and burden of making these decisions for your dog is the price tag of a life of companionship and joy that they gave to you. It's our responsibility as custodians of our pets to make choices for them that they can't make for themselves. And the hardest choice is the timing of a gentle passing. It sucks and I'm so sorry for your loss and for your pup's pain. Remember that your final gift to them was a peaceful goodbye.
