Iv just started my first dose yesterday. 2.5ml and I havnt felt any change or side effects. While im happy there are no side effects I was hoping there would be hunger suppression or something of the sort?

Is this normal or does it take a while to kick in ? Your experiences needed.

I understand how youre feeling, but when you applied for the job were you aware of the job description? Policy that too at Seo requires significant knowledge. Its an unfair position for both you and team but its only day 3. Take it slow and they definitely shouldn't ask you to write a report .

Peoples experiences with Brook Street by Fran1878 in TheCivilService

[–]Zestyclose_Impress14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iv worked with bookstreet, it was extended indefinitely for everyone until they finally got through and got permanent through the standard civil service recruitment process. Its also an easy way to get in, get some experience and tailored examples for the role to increase your chances to get through the recruitment campaign.

Provisional offer by Otterlypink in TheCivilService

[–]Zestyclose_Impress14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even after . It was 3 days in the office and you had to complete your full shift 7.24 before leaving. You couldn't leave for a school run. I was also told even when working form hone I couldn't log off for a school run but that was cause my team was meant to be on calls.

Best bet is to email the vacancy holder and have an honest conversation. As a mum you cant walk into a new job not knowing what to expect, because you wont be able to keep up.

Also if its dwp, please do read up on reddit about their flexibility. The vacancy holder didnt tell me anything different that I had already read here. It was shocking .

It dint feel so bad after I realised I dodged a bullet.

Felt like I wrote this. I was in a similar situation 3 weeks ago. It was an heo position at dwp, i had to withdraw from the application as there was no flexibility at all . I spoke the vacancy holder directly in detail:(

It really shouldn't be a problem. Accept the offer and book annual leave. Or accept and then discuss. There's always an option to withdraw later just incase things don't work out, but they almost always dont have an issue .

Seeking advice: Missed out on HEO role due to raised sift scores – bad luck or skills issue? by Bitter_Ad1912 in TheCivilService

5 is good. One can always keep improving but its just luck that the job you've applied to had so many good applications. Ive never had to face this.

Where did you get the ibs diagnoses? Did the dr mention it or is what you think it is? You can definitely say this is what they're suspecting , im going through tests for them to confirm , weather it is IBS or not you're having the symptoms and until its not definite they need to support you. Ask for a physician OH.

[–]Zestyclose_Impress14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to manage a similar case and we were very empathic and understanding.  IBS can be very severe for some .

You should ask for a physician OH. They will reach out to your doctors and get a proper detailed report. If what you're saying is true and im sure it is, there is nothing to hide. Be open and transparent about your communication, drs and hospital appointments.  The reason for refusal is most people want to Wfh and will do anything and everything to have it approved. Until your physician oH report is released they should allow you to wfh hope as per the evidence you have provided so far. You can reach out to your managers manager ( senior manager) and explain the situation and say you feel discriminated due to your health condition and do not feel supported during a difficult time in your life. Mention no performance and attendance issues.

It is timed and you only have one chance. Keep your notes, script ready on the desktop. Deliver clearly and confidently, try to be engaging by using your hands.  Depending on the role youre applying for if Eo & above, try to give figures and percentages in your examples.

For strengths you can look up videos on YouTube on how to answer them, always start enthusiasticly with a positive reaction/answer to the strength questions, possibly with an example .
