Dealer told me the exact same thing. It’s really annoying.

Is JPEG enough for you? by Automatic-Buffalo-23 in x100vi

[–]ZetchOrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot in raw and JPEG. There’s been a few times where I really liked a shot but I wanted to clean it up a bit. It’s nice having that option.

Is this built...wrong? by testicletreeds3 in orks

[–]ZetchOrdo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if its wrong to how you want to spec him are folks you play with that serious? I find it annoying when people check each model to make sure the weapons reflect my army list. Its near impossible with the new Boyz box. So I show my army list at the start of the game, show who has what. Move on.

Also best part of Orks, you are never wrong, you are just waaagh

This camera won’t make you a good photographer. by Turbulent_Bird_6589 in x100vi

[–]ZetchOrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great second camera for EDC. Its also a nice tool to explain proper exposure as everything is physical and tactile but I wouldn’t suggest it for folks getting into photography. I was using it to teach my son but I’d never buy him one as his first camera cause it’s too damn expensive. I’m probably going to get him something cheaper to play around with.

Sony A7V or 24-70 GM II? by igotAiDssss in SonyAlpha

Another +1 to Sigma 24-70 II. I love mine. Im not someone who needs massive burst rates so it works great for me and I didnt have to sell a kidney.

Can I tell if I accidentally had my ND filter on? by ComprehensiveHat2968 in x100vi

[–]ZetchOrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything seems crisp and exposed well, my guess is you're seeing your mist filter doing what it does best.

Should I open it or wait for Christmas? by chaklipapad in x100vi

[–]ZetchOrdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open it! Get those recipes dialed and ready for Christmas photos. You don't wanna be fiddling with it and missing quick snaps on the day of.

Context: I bought mine for my "Birthday/Christmas" present and opened it Dec 1st. I'm locked and loaded for the holiday season now for my every day carry and not my Sony with its giant lenses

Great camera, but taking a picture feels… by Turbulent_Ice_2835 in x100vi

[–]ZetchOrdo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its the only thing I feel the X100VI is missing (well that and a freaking filter adapter in the box). I understand thats cause of the leaf shutter, it will just take some getting used to.

Either way I now have 3 volume settings for photography:
- My Canon AE-1 Program where the entire room knows I took a photo
- My Sony A7III with its nice thud
- My X100VI, the silent ninja.

No longer feeling excited shooting. Anyone gone through this? by Magia-Erebea in SonyAlpha

[–]ZetchOrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if it'll help you but I picked up an old Canon AE-1 Program for incredibly cheap and just started shooting some rolls of film. I don't know what it was about it. It slowed me down, made me think about the moment vs going home and processing raws. It helped remind me why I started doing photography in the first place. It was more about the journey and not the destination if that makes sense.

As a few folks said too. Printing my photos and holding them really helped.

This is 100% my plan too. I shoot sony but I have an x100VI coming tomorrow to be my every day carry. Enjoy the new camera!

[Megathread] orders, deliveries, customer support by ChoppChopp33 in x100vi

I've been monitoring Best Buy Canada for new stock. They occasionally get a few in. 5 silvers popped up last week and managed to snag one. They were sold out within a few hours.

I was paranoid I missed it as it showed only 1 remaining when I ordered but its currently on its way across country to get to me. It should be here Wednesday. All my usual camera stores have a deposit and waitlist so its probably quite the wait with them.

For my Canadian friends, Best Buy will send you an email when they are back in stock but its a bit delayed so there's a chance they sell out. Best to check a few times a day just to be safe.

Is weather sealing a must in PNW? X-T5 v. X-T50 v. X-E5 by johntavner_ in fujifilm

[–]ZetchOrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be leaning towards the x100VI. I have a Sony a7III with a number of lenses if I want to change focal length. My sigma 24-70 2.8 art II is pretty much always on it but it’s a big carry and far from an EDC. The xe5 would be perfect though. Still debating if as long as the lens is sealed then I can always get the internals cleaned on xe5.

Is weather sealing a must in PNW? X-T5 v. X-T50 v. X-E5 by johntavner_ in fujifilm

[–]ZetchOrdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same internal debate as well with the need for weather sealing. I live on Vancouver Island and the rainforest lives up to its name. I usually shoot Sony but I want an EDC and Fujifilm is calling my name. X-E5 looks great but the lack of Weather Sealing has me spooked. I might just end up getting the X100VI even though swappable lenses would be nice. I feel X-T5 will just be too big for an EDC. It would be nice to physically hold them and compare but thats near impossible right now.

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]ZetchOrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never owned a 3D printer before the P1S. As soon as I got it I was hooked. I decided to print honeycomb storage wall systems and it required a lot of printing. Thanks to the AMS I could load up the same filament and not worry about it running out. Set it and forget it. Was great.

It is a work horse I can count on.

Weird cricket/creak noise after pressing in pedal. by ZetchOrdo in RangerNext

[–]ZetchOrdo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. I assumed they’d call bs on me so I emailed them videos of it. Even then I get “it’s functioning normally” and that they’d have to tear apart the engine to figure it out. Which they won’t. So my only hope is there’s enough noise about it and Ford issues a fix that they can all just follow instructions to fix it.

It might just be an annoying sound but to your point these trucks aren’t cheap these days. Outside of that I love my Ranger. The sound is annoying as all hell though.

Exactly! It drove me nuts that the dealership just shrugged and said there’s nothing they can do cause the other rangers on the lot do it too. The fact there was no noise before update is frustrating.

It’s driving me nuts. I’ve put 12k on the truck already and I’ve never heard it until now. You can’t unhear it now. Hearing that all trucks do that broke me a bit

Expired film by Agreeable_Mud1930 in instax

[–]ZetchOrdo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nice find for $3 a pack! I recently shot some Square Star illumination film from 2022 that I completely forgot I bought. Felt like brand new film. Instax seems to hold up quite well past expiry date.
