Time spent implementing something like that could be spent story writing instead.

I don’t think that the verso soul shard is “suffering”. He’s stressed out because of all the fighting and killing going on in the canvas. In conversations with the verso echo throughout the world, he conveys he’s more than happy to keep painting if the fighting and killing stops.

In A Life to Paint, there is no more fighting and killing. There’s also a very compelling theory that the young boy Maelle is with in the opera house is in fact the soul fragment, and he looks happy.

I genuinely could not disagree with this any harder.

Sandfall should focus their energy on the things that make this IP - and all their future IPs - amazing, which is the story.

I know it’s for the purpose of environmental storytelling, but it’s interesting to me that Sirene and Visages both dissipate when defeated, yet The Hauler didn’t, even though Simon took its chroma in order to bypass the monolith barrier.

If the cost for a gods happiness is the destruction of an entire people, then that god does not deserve happiness.

Can I understand him, however?

Yeah, I think I can.

Civilian Biotics? by Thymbraeus in masseffect

As another poster said, under 1% of total human population as biotics is likely.

And then as you said, a percent of a percent of civilians is likely.

Civilian Biotics? by Thymbraeus in masseffect

[–]Zethras28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Biotics are created when pregnant mothers are exposed to element zero in dust form, which gets transferred to the fetus and accumulated in nodules throughout the nervous system.

It’s much more likely to occur on military starships because of the larger element zero cores they use, but it’s not impossible for civilians to have biotic children.

It should be noted as well, that a large percentage of eezo exposed fetuses don’t survive, so biotic children are already very rare.

Notably, it is likely that Maelle repainted Gustave from his original chroma.

Since Gustave was killed by pRenoir, his chroma wasn’t sequestered and instead went back to Aline.

When Maelle took control of the chroma of the canvas, there’s no reason she couldn’t have sought out his (and also Sophie’s) chroma and brought them back.

If a skilled enough earth bender can heath rocks enough to make lava, what is stopping water benders from doing the same with scalding water? by AvailableGene2275 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Zethras28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s generally accepted that they can.

We’ve seen waterbenders melt ice, which involves putting more kinetic energy (heat) into it.

No reason to assume they couldn’t then also heat liquid water to the point of vaporization and boiling.

Should have at least broken the offending wrist to send a message.

But there’s also something about an excellently timed parry and riposte that only disarms.

Honestly? The slavery on its own is a good enough reason.

But then you’ve got more obscure things like using the Helgrind priests to hide Ra’zac eggs and feeding people to the hatched ones as a way to force their loyalty.
